As I make my way for Michael's check up, he's waiting right outside the door.

"Morning." we greet each other.

"So, how are you feeling today?" I ask him as I unlock the door so we can go in.

"Better." he answers.

I motion for him to take his shirt off so I can check on his burn. He does so and I pat some blood with a cotton swab.

I put it down and when I turn around to Michael, he leans in and kisses me. I hold his head as I slowly pull away from the kiss.

"What do you want from me Michael?" I ask him.

"Adelyn.." he says as he looks down. When he looks back up he says, "I need you to do something for me."

"What?" I ask him.

He lowers his head again and I caress the side of his head to comfort him as I look from his lips back to his.

"Wait for me." he tells me. He begins brushing his hands against my hair, "It won't always be like this..this room..in this place.."

I smile at what he's asking as I kiss his hand. "Until then. I can't. We can't Michael." I tell him as a nurse enters the room to put some paperwork down.

"I can't. I can't." I tell him again as he just watches me. "And I gotta go." I say before leaving.

...

I laugh as I walk with Katie. I look up to the fence and I see Michael. My smile fades and I look down to my feet as I walk by. I take one last peak behind me and Michael is still watching as I leave the prison for lunch.

As I'm unlocking my car, a woman walks up to me. I feel like I recognize her.

"Are you the doctor from the prison?" She asks me with a European accent.

"Uh, yeah. Can I uh-" I begin but she cuts me off asking if I know Michael Scofield.

"I do." I answer her and then I recognize her. She's his wife he came out of the conjugal room with.

"I need to talk to you. I think Michael got himself in some trouble..and I think he's planning on doing something dangerous to get out."

I look at her confused and shocked by the comment and then invite her out to a bar.

"Um, so what is it-" I begin but am cutoff again.

"Michael has a deep need to help people."

"So I've come to understand."

"It's actually how we met. There were these men that brought me here. Told me I'd have good job. But that was just a lie. They were going to sell me. Michael paid them off for my freedom."

I smile hearing that Michael saved her.

"And not to keep me for himself like I've heard from other girls, but to give me an opportunity."

"He's a good man." I say.

"Yes, he is."

"Nika, I want to do whatever I can to help Michael. To do that I need you to tell me what it is you think he's mixed up in."

"I think this is mistake." she tells me as she's getting up to leave.

"No, no, no it's not a mistake." I try to reassure her.

"Please, just keep an eye on him." she tells me as she hurriedly gets up and accidentally knocks over her purse.

I reach down to help her and she picks it up and leaves asking, "please don't tell him that we met."

I order a drink and down it quickly before heading back to the prison.

I'm trying to get in to my office in the infirmary and realize I can't find my keys.

"Hey Adelyn." a coworker greets me as he's walking by. He sees me digging around in my purse frantically and asks, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I can't find my keys. Would you let me in?"

"Oh, sure." he replies as he unlocks the door.

I call for Katie to help me search. We're looking up and down the whole room.

"What about your car? You know, sometimes-" she asks as I cut her off.

"I just checked."

"Uh, your apartment?"

"No, I just had them this morning."

"Then they gotta be here. Just retrace your steps." she instructs me. "When did you first notice they were gone?"

I move my purse to look in a drawer. "When I came back from lunch." I tell her.

As I put my purse down next to me, I then remember that when I went to help Nika pick her bag up, she reached into my bag. She took my keys!

I wonder if she just so happened to visit Michael after. I make my way to visitation and ask Kev to show me the visitation log.

You wouldn't guess who visited Michael. Nika.

...

Michael is in for his shot later that day.

"Hi." I greet him as I put the tray down.

"How are you?" he asks.

"Fine." I state as I begin putting my gloves on.

"You?" I question him, giving him a look.

"Fine." he tells me.

As I'm prepping Michael for his shot, Katie comes in and puts some folders down. She finds my keys by them.

"Here they are."

"Here what are?"

"Your keys. They were right over there by your inbox."

I look up to Michael. He put them there before I came in. Wow.

"Look you've got a maintenance guy waiting outside here says you wanted him to change the locks. Want me to call him off?"

Michael looks up to me and eyes me.

"No, send him in." I simply state.

He opens the door and asks if it's okay if he gets started.

"Yeah. We're about done here." I tell him.

I give Michael his shot and he seems upset.

"Is there something wrong?" I question him.

"No, unless you want to talk about what happened this morning." he acts innocent.

I raise my voice a little, "I think I have a pretty good idea."

"We're done here." I tell him as I walk to my desk.

He leaves but stops in the hallway watching the maintenance guy. I look up and watch him as he slowly walks away.

I can't believe I fell for him and he was just using me for an escape. I'm such a fool.
