let the game begin

As the crowd roared above us, we stood gathered just outside the tunnel, waiting for the first event of the sports festival to begin. My class, along with the other students from different departments, was all lined up, anticipation hanging in the air.

I glanced around, spotting familiar faces - Uraraka, Todoroki, Kirishima...everyone focused, their expressions serious.

The countdown began.

Three...

Everyone tensed, muscles coiling like springs ready to launch.

Two...

The notice of the crowd faded as my focus narrowed. I couldn't think about anyone else. It was all about making it through those obstacles.

One...

The doors of the massive tunnel in front of us began to open.

Go!

In an instant, the race erupted. Everyone surged forward at once, and it was chaos. We were all trying to push through the narrow tunnel at the same time, jostling and elbowing past one another. I managed to keep my footing, my mind racing with how I'd get ahead of the crowd. The tunnel echoed with shouts and the sounds of feet pounding against the ground, our competitive drive kicking in.

Suddenly, Todoroki activated his quirk. A chill swept through the tunnel as ice began to spread from where Todoroki was positioned, his icy power freezing the walls and floor. The temperature dropped rapidly, and I could see the ice extending, forming a path of solid ice as he advanced forward. His quirk was like a cold wave that pushed through the tunnel, making it easier for him to move ahead.

As we burst out of the tunnel, the sharp contrast between the icy darkness and the bright, open stadium was striking. The sunlight was blinding at first, but I quickly adjusted and took in my surroundings. I caught glimpses of other students moving through the frozen path, some struggling, others using the ice to their advantage.

The ice-covered ground was a challenge. I quickly assessed the situation and decided to use my quirk creatively. I could see the trees outside the obstacle course area, their branches swaying gently in the wind.

I focused on the tree branches, using my quirk to manipulate the plant life. Vines extended from the trees, twisting and turning to form makeshift bridges and platforms. I swung from branch to branch, using the natural structures to avoid the treacherous ice below.

As I made my way through the ice-covered ground, the colossal zero-point robots came into view, their massive, imposing forms casting long shadows across the landscape. The robots were formidable, towering over us with their intimidating mechanical features.

Todoroki, who had been making his way through the icy terrain with impressive speed, surveyed the scene with a determined expression. The ground around the robots was covered in a thick layer of ice, but the area immediately surrounding them was still clear. The zero-point robots stood as formidable obstacles, and it was clear that simply avoiding them would not be enough.

With a deep breath, Todoroki activated his quirk. Ice began to creep across the ground, spreading out from Todoroki's position like an unstoppable wave. The ice crawled up the legs of the zero-point robots, the machines' movements became sluggish as the ice constricted their joints.

The once-threatening obstacles were now reduced to frozen statues, their imposing forms rendered immobile by Todoroki's powerful quirk.

Seeing the opportunity, I didn't think twice and I leaped into action. I used the vines from the trees to swing across the field.
