"Tell me," Jaekyung's voice echoed inside the quiet vip section of his upcoming club, "How long do I have until it's finished?" turning his attention to namwook who was reading over some of the add-ons that were finally built.
"Just finished with the contractors," Namwook started, gradually looking towards Jaekyung, "It should be done by next Tuesday. Technically on Wednesday once we get the food and alcoholic drinks shipped in."
"By the end of it, this place'll probably pay for itself."
Jaekyung rolled his eyes, not caring too much about the club as it was mainly constructed due to Namwook and the others' advice.
He wasn't one for nightlife, preferring to be alone, once work was complete and all had been said and done.
Speaking of completion,
"Today is Friday." Jaekyung muttered out, recalling how three days had officially passed since his and Dan's verbal agreement, "I haven't heard much from Daehyun or Kim Dan about my shipment."
"I do hope things aren't being botched as we speak."
Namwook gave Jaekyung a knowing look, "We would've gotten a call from Daehyun by now if that was the case."
"The only reports we've gotten is that everything has apparently gone according to Kim Dan's schedule in terms of his shipping methods. Daehyun said that he wants to give Dan more credit than what's due."
Jaekyung furrowed his brows, "Tell Daehyun to watch his tongue for a moment. Nothing will be given out til I get that green light from my people in the U.S."
He hated to admit it, but the radio silence from Dan was bothering him.
Lee Dae-Ho might've been an idiot and a letdown from Jaekyung's perspective, but he sure did a good job, at least, at the time in letting Jaekyung know what step he was on.
"Anything else Daehyun has picked up on Dan?" Jaekyung inquired, turning to Namwook who was half listening and half preoccupied with his cellular device.
"Aside from things moving, Kim Dan is a quiet person. He's not one for sharing but he does ask some questions," Namwook responded, "He doesn't try to pry on confidential information, but just stuff on you."
A snort escaped Jaekyung's lips, "He isn't getting shit about me until this is a done deal and we actually start working with each other."
But deep down, he already knew he was going to remain as closed off as he was right now.
He hated people who pried too much. Made him feel uncomfortable, to say the least, and want to disassociate from himself.
Namwook rolled his head, letting a deep exhale, "I was informed of Kim Dan's past by Yosep. Dare I say I'm a bit wary of working with him considering that blank slate."
"After all, the only people able to clear up even mere paper trails like that are us or..."
"Officials." Jaekyung finished for him, pulling out his phone to check the time, "I'm well aware of that fact."
"I'm not giving his test for no reason. Not just because of the lack of clientele, or the fact that he's partners with Heesung, but because I don't exactly know what his motives are and why he's agreed."
"If he proves to be a problem, he'll be dealt with. Just like the rest of them." Jaekyung finished, stuffing his hands in his pocket, "I can't wait any longer for this. I want to get started on that project as soon as possible."
