A new day had come.

The busan skyline just bordering on the definition of elysian now that the sun had made its appearance.

Sitting inside his high rise office, Jaekyung sat comfortably in his black office chair, surrounded with his most trusted advisor, guard and the three division captains.

"So let me get this straight, Hyung," Daehyun started, clearing his throat and acting as the middle man between them and the Don, "You wanna enact this project now with Kim Dan.?"

"I mean, it's not like it's a bad thing, but remember the last time you tried to do it and things went south? Even then, we knew him longer than Kim Dan."

Aside from the awry looks shared from his fellow captains, Yosep eyed Jaekyung who appeared to be unmoved.

"I dodged a bullet, no doubt," Jaekyung tsked, "But I've waited too long for this and it needs to happen now."

Namwook nodded along, "Besides that, this will make both us and Kim Dan a lot of money, and we can be sure that he won't try to fleece us."

"How?" Another masculine voice cut in, "You nearly got saddled 50 million down, and not to mention you did a lot of business beforehand to study him, so this isn't the same."

Everyone's attention, minus Jaekyung, turned to the speaker; Second Divison Captain, Kwak Junbeom.

The man who looked older than he actually was donned completely buzzed hair and only a shade lighter than Daehyun, he was dressed in a plain, black short-sleeve button up and dark gray jeans. Sipping casually on a shot of brandy.

"I already had my doubts the first time around," Jaekyung briefly stated, "That's why I withdrew once I got the information I wanted."

"In any case, I have a good feeling about Kim Dan."

Third Division Captain, Kim Changmin raised his brows, he bore dark taupe hair and matching irises and a well toned, pale body was dressed in all black casual attire,"Why?"

Jaekyung thought back to last night, when he had Kim Dan under his clutches over the supposedly missing shipment. How compliant the chestnut-haired man was, listening and following Jaekyung's words. Even better, when faced with death he didn't try to fight back out of fear for Heesung.

That was good.

Kim Dan could be controlled in a way.

Strange that he wasn't worried for himself, but Jaekyung knew some people were just like that in this line of work.

"Reasons." Jaekyung grunted, officially done with this 'game' of twenty-one questions, "Now stop fucking hammering me, he should be here soon."

Just as they let the room fall into silence, a knock sounded at the door.

"Enter." Namwook called out, as the door opened to reveal Seonho.

"Boss, He's arrived." Seonho announced, as Jaekyung waved a hand for Dan to be let in.

The door opened wider, as Kim Dan quietly stepped into what quite literally felt like a tiger's den; at every angle, there were hungry tigers waiting to feed on him and then some.

Dressed in a Tiger Mist pinstripe Tamara Set and plain white sneakers, holding a white folder, Dan darted towards Jaekyung's desk.

"I see someone's eager," Jaekyung coolly stated, as if they weren't just in a back and forth conversation about Kim Dan, ushering for the man to have a seat.

Without missing a beat, Jaekyung snapped his fingers and everyone in the room had filed out, leaving just them.

Dan cleared his throat, being the first one to talk about business, "You said I now work for you, however, if that's going to be the case then I have but one condition."

Jaekyung raised his brow, both in shock and intrigue at Dan's sudden boldness. "Oh? Go on."

Dan swallowed thickly, placing the folder on Jaekyung's desk, eyeing the man who had yet to give an inch, "My one request; if I'm going to do this with you, I need to use your name."

"My name?" Jaekyung repeated, trying to ensure he wasn't hearing things.

Dan nodded, "You heard me,"

"I do not want my name getting out in the underworld you operate in, that's why I'd prefer it if you didn't make it known to others and allow me to operate under your name. I'll continue my work in my warehouses, and use my people like normal, although it'll be in your title."

Jaekyung tilted his head, his suspicion levels rising with each passing moment, inspecting Dan closely to see if there was anything more he was missing.

"I'll agree to your terms." Jaekyung finally responded, giving Dan a sly look, only to receive a plain expression, "But you should know that if you plan on using it, you better be at the top of your game."

"You don't have any room for error."

Dan tilted his head, letting out a sigh, "Trust me, I got that impression from the very beginning, Mr.Joo."

"Now that that's settled, let's talk about your plans and what you want with Heesung and I?"

He watched as Jaekyung let out a deep puff from his nose, guffawing at the mention of Heesung, "While I may have been aware of his disappearance, I just cannot for the life of me figure out why you still choose to include him?"

"I was under the impression you did everything by yourself."

"You were under the right impression, then." Dan chirped, "However, I'm still working under his name and his company as a duo, therefore I'm still obligated to include him."

"You are. I'm not." Jaekyung huffed, finding himself a bit inconvenienced at Dan's insistence to include Choi Heesung, "with the upcoming days, consider yourself in the middle of transitioning."

Brushing his bangs back, Dan gave him an awry expression, listening in as Jaekyung switched the topic back to what they were really here for.

"I have a project that needs to be completed." Jaekyung bluntly stated, reaching into his desk and pulling out a folder before tossing it over to Dan, "In that folder you'll find an overview, delegations and what is being expected of you, and I suppose Heesung as well."

"It's rather important to me that this gets done in a timely manner, for I have spent way too fucking long planning, dodging being fleeced and all kinds of unnecessary nonsense to get to this point."

Dan eyed Jaekyung who seemed to have an unwavering complexion etched onto his face. This task clearly must've been worth it with how serious the Don sounded.

Gentle hands ran along the golden embellished letters of the thick white leather folder. Under his breath, Dan read it out,

"The B.L.A.C.K Project."
