"Why the heck would I agree to this?"Sundew asked,crossing her arms.The four others that were maybe possible kinda her friends had literally cornered her and Willow and we're now asking to play detective like they were in a some sort of mystery novel and the bright pink coat definitely didn't help.
"Because-no trouble?"Blue offered."Sounds good for me."She was pretty sure him and Cricket where the only ones she thought would wear pink sometimes.
"Also!FUN!"Swordtail said."Plus I've been in Ms.Wasp's office so many times she'd get suspicious if I wasn't there at least once a day."
"I'm in."Willow said with a shrug."Sounds cool."It didn't sound cool.But again the camp had warped what she thought and didn't think was cool.Yelling,cursing,and flicking off a rival bus?Hell yes.Playing detective with a group of freshmen,some dude who got held back in almost all his classes,and her crush all in pink didn't sound as cool.
Sundew sighed,it wouldn't actually take much,it really narrowed it down to one table."Fine,fine.Where we starting?"
"With the table.Who were the people we saw?"Cricket said hopping into the conversation."That'll lead us right to the culprit...or culprits!"
"Cyprus's table?I think?"Swordtail said,tho it sounded more like a question to Sundew."So,anyone know someone who sits there?"
"Ohhh."Cricket groaned."Bombardier's table."She informed slumping.
"Nice!Someone we can kidnap without feeling bad!"Sundew said,charging off to find that annoying prick.
"Wait!That's against the law!"She heard Blue call.
"Plus morally wro-"She did hear the rest which she was pretty sure came from Willow as she charged right up Bombardier.
"You're coming with us willingly or I'm dragging you kicking and screaming."Sundew snarled at him."NOW."He jumped,his hands shooting right up.
"Willingly!Sheesh!The hell-Hey wait!What's stopping me from calling the police?!"He said smugly.
"Swordtail,snatch his phone."Sundew ordered.
"This is not where I expected this to get us."Cricket commented as Swordtail shrugged and dug his hand into Bombardier's pocket,taking his hand out with an ancient looking phone.
"Sundew-we should be doing this,right?"Willow said,tho Sundew got the distant feeling she might have been working completely of her morality with coming even remotely close to defending this piece of trash.
"Where pretty deep in this."Luna sigh."Plus I hate the living hell out of him.So punch him in the face if you like."Luna said.
Sundew nodded,feeling only a little less pumped with Willow's kind of disappointed gaze on her."Let's get Cobra Lily on this and your record will stay clean."She said to Blue leading the group and the trash to where all the green jacketed campers hung out.
Which also happed to be the most run down trash of an alley way.The type of place you could find someone selling crack to kids."Well this is a horror show."Swordtail said,gazing backwards.Probably towards the exist.
"Mhm!"Agreed a mouth taped Bombardier.She was pretty sure she wasn't as intimidating with bright pink but it had to work out.
Sundew shrugged and turned a corner,which was exposed to the sky.There were a few of the usuals there and of course Cobra Lily who was handing someone a file with a few hundred dollar bills in her other hand."Cobra!"Sundew barked,"Need ya help!"
"Sundew,changing up fashion?Did I miss something?Also of course you do."Cobra Lily responded with a laugh."Who do we need info on?"She asked,leaning on a near by crappy brick wall.Her arms crossed.
"Don't and make sure he can't say crap after the interactions over."Sundew explained the whole situation and Cobra Lily let out a sigh.
"Alright."She turned to Bombardier."Look street trash.I know your address,phone number,that time you cheated on your girlfriend of five years,I have a copy of you license.In other words I know everything.Say something get your whole life ruined."Cobra Lily explain."Done,pay up."
"Wow,I-Wow."Willow said exasperated.Sundew bumped her lightly."I'm a little worried on why she knows so much."
"Agreed!You stalking him?"Swordtail asked and Cobra Lily rolled her eyes at him.
"I know something about everyone.How the hell do you think I'm making so much money?Oh that note,forget it.On the house."Cobra Lily said,with thumbs up.
"Alright,I didn't realize we were black mailing the guy."Luna said with an expression Sundew didn't get and Blue and Cricket nodded.
"Well we are now.Swordtail,take the tape off his mouth and YOU no yelling or you know what's bout happen."Sundew said,glaring at Bombardier.
"You got it boss!"Swordtail said with a salute before snatching the tape of Bombardier's mouth with absolutely no gentleness.
"I know nothing!But I know someone who would!"Bombardier exploded."I swear please!"Sundew glared at him for a few moments and let out a sigh.
"I guess that means we have a lead."Willow said,watching with a sorry expression as Bombardier rambled on about something unimportant about how this was totally evil.
"I guess we do."Sundew agreed.Fighting off any doubts about her blunt way for doing things.It's getting us somewhere!We could've just-UGH!She gave up that train of thought."Now let's get this over with."
