Hive high-Blue

Prologue

Blue woke up with his throat drier than the desert.He let out a groan and got up.Wanna be quiet,don't wake anyone up.He went down stairs,the old creaky staircase made it difficult to go downstairs soundlessly.

He stopped way when he heard voices.He debated with himself whither eased dropping on his parents would be wrong.Wrong,he decided,but before he could go back upstairs to his room he heard,"Okay we'll move in a week,we'll tell the kids about it in the morning."

—Present—

Ring!Ring!RING!A horribly surprising and ear shattering sound woke Blue up.He let out a tired groan.Apple is trying to kill my ears.

Blue raised his head and hit snooze on his phone.For a moment he thought,Why'd I set up an alarm?Before realizing.OH!Wow!I might be late!He rushed out of bed,going from pjs to presentable and bed-head to Not-very-well-combed.

He rushed downstairs.His sister was already dressed and had her bag.That's what I forgot!He thought dashing up the stairs to get his bag."Morning,brother."Luna said with a laugh,as he sat down next to her,winded."Getting in some morning exercise?"

Blue gave her a rueful look."I forgot my backpack...and that we had school again."He said with sigh.There was a period without school after they moved cities.Really they moved because his moms needed more work opportunities to keep them afloat.

"Mom made pancakes!"Luna exclaimed,through a mouth full of pancakes."They are the very best things to very exist."She added,wolfing down three more.

"Wow."Blue said,with a smile.Completely forgetting his morning troubles."Do you...do you think the kids at school will like me?"He asked,as Silverspot down a plate of pancakes in front of him.

"Of course they'll like you."She said with a warm smile.Luna nodded in agreement."You're very likable."His mother added,patting his shoulder.

Blue smiled at her,wolfed down his pancakes and before he knew it he was in the crowded halls of Hive high.Students chatting,slamming lockers (he was pretty sure a group of kids were even locking someone in a locker),and running down the hallway.

"Woah!This place is chaos!"Luna laughed beside him.He was nervous,but his sister made it less terrifying.Almost on cue,a tall lady with black hair with yellow stripes walked out,glaring down the hallway.Very kid stopped what they were doing,the chaos dying down in an instant.

"I don't want to hear anything above acceptable."She hissed.Beside Blue his sister was frozen,like almost every other kid.Blue understood it.This person,well she was terrifying.After an eternity,she slithered back into a room labeled 'Principal'.

He shuddered,Don't get sent to the principal's office.Noted.He thought.His sister unfroze before him."Wow!She.Was.SCARY."She said looking around."If I was that scary,then I could easily get into a horror movie.Who needs a costume for Halloween when you're just as horrifying."

He laugh a little despite the lingering anxiety."I'm going to the front office,that is where we get the schedule,right?"he inquired,nudging his sister.She grinned at him.

"Then what are we waiting for!"She exclaimed,grinning."Race you there!"She said,sprinting down the hall.He looked around,half expecting the principal to appear out of thin air and banish his sister to another dimension.With a small smile he went after her.

It took a while to get someone to give him directions but it was even harder to follow those dimensions.They said,'Turn left,right,up the stairs,on that hall go past Mrs.Yellowjacket's room by to doors.Easy as that.'Well was definitely not easy.The school was like a maze.
