Family Issues {Rodger x Teagan} 💢

Rodger sat on the couch while he and Toodles watch tv. Toodles had her teddy bear in hand and Rodger had a glass of coffee. Teagan had walked in and seen them on the couch. She sighed and walked to the kitchen.

Rodger glanced over at Teagan in the kitchen before getting up and walking over to check on her.

"Hey, honey! How are you doing?"

Teagan ignored him. She had been in the most aggressive and negative mood lately. Rodger didn't appreciate it and he had just about had enough. He sighed and began to slightly raise his voice to gain her attention.

"Ok, look...I'm not appreciating this attitude you've picked up! You've been acting like this ever since you went to visit Tisha!"

Teagan gave him a side eye and stayed silent. She didn't have anything to say. Toodles, in the other room, began to listen to their one-sided conversation.

"Babe?? Are you gonna say anything or are you just gonna pout an-"

Teagan interrupted him.

"Would you just shut up?! I was actually having a delightful day until I walked in and saw you hanging out with Toodles! You are always with her and it's almost making me feel like I don't exist!"

Rodger froze then scoffed.

"Seriously? Is that what this is really about?! You're jealous of me hanging out with our own daughter?! If you wanted me or her, you can EASILY come and join us, but apparently you don't want to just so you can start up an argument like this!"

Teagan groaned and threw her tea cup onto the floor, shattering the glass as she rushed up to her room. Toodles' eyes were filled with tears. She hated when her parents got into fights, even if they were minor ones. Rodger seemed to notice and he walked over to Toodles, pulling her into a gentle hug. She cried into his shoulder and gripped onto his sleeves.

"P-Please no more fighting with mommy...I don't like it!..."

Rodger rubbed her back soothingly to calm her down. She was a mess.

"I'm sorry, sweetie, I didn't mean to...how about we continue our movie? That might cheer you up!"

Toodles nodded and got up, walking over to the couch and having a seat. She hugged her teddy bear as she watched the movie on the tv. Rodger sat next to her to comfort her as he smiled and watched the movie with her.
