My Boyfriend's Lover (A Beronica Story)

Chapter 7: The Morning

Veronica

I woke up with Betty Cooper wrapped around my body, and I was the happiest I'd ever been. She looked so peaceful and I could tell that she needed the sleep. I carefully grabbed my phone and took my first picture of her and made it my Lock Screen. It seemed like the right thing to do and I wanted to see her face every time I looked at my phone. The only thing was that I had to remember was to change it before my dates with Archie. I scrolled through social media for about an hour and a half before she started to stir awake.

Veronica- "morning sleeping beauty" she turned over and smiled at me Betty- "morning, dare I say babe?" Veronica- (laughs) "I love it, baby" Betty- "awe" she came up and kissed me before laying her head on my chest. Veronica- "feeling better?" Betty- "definitely"

Veronica- "I have another date with Archie tonight, then you're up" Betty- (sighs) "I hate the weekends" Veronica- "I know, but then we'll be back together" Betty- (softly) "are you going to stay with him tonight?" Veronica- "nope, I'm not doing that ever. Proving some dude is a dick head  is way less important to me than you" Betty- "well aren't you the sweetest" I leaned in and kissed her nose before getting up and pulling her to the edge of the bed

Veronica- "come on, let's go make some breakfast" Betty- (whines) "but I'm still tired" I playfully rolled my eyes before shrugging. Veronica- "alright then" I walked out of the room knowing she was stunned. I waited outside the door before she started calling me like she was a toddler. I laughed for a second before going back in the room to see her pouting with her arms crossed.

Veronica- "oh my god, you're like a child" Betty- "hey! I just need attention" I shook my head before going over and kissing her. Veronica- "how about this, we cuddle for five more minutes, then we go out for brunch." Betty- "ten minutes" Veronica- "fine, then we go" she reached her arms out for me before pulling me back in bed. I wrapped my arms around her as she laid her head on my shoulder.

Betty- "I don't wanna go see Archie on Saturday" Veronica- "and I don't wanna go see him tonight" Betty- "should we ghost him?" Veronica- (sighs) "as much as I want to say yes, it'll be so much sweeter when we figure out what we're going to do to humiliate him"

She laughed for a second before I kissed the top of her head. Betty- "Ve? Have you thought about what you want?" Veronica- "what do you mean? Like for breakfast" Betty- (laughs) " no, I mean in life, where do you see yourself in five years?" Veronica- (laughs) "oh, I guess I never really thought about it yet. Maybe running my own company and having an amazing family to come home to" Betty- "would that family include a husband?" Veronica- "nope, I'd want an amazing wife, preferably with blonde hair"

She smiled as looked at me before leaning up and kissing me again. It made me smile. Our timer went off so I stood up and pulled her all the way  out of bed. Betty- "you're telling me you didn't like that?" Veronica- "oh I did, but I'm also starving"

I grabbed her some clothes of mine and tossed them at her Betty- "you know I have my own clothes, right? I've been here for weeks" Veronica- "I just thought you'd look cute, you don't have to" Betty- (smiles) "thanks Ve" she stood up and kissed me cheek

We both got dressed before heading out to breakfast. I loved eating with her and I was happy to have her. Betty- "so Ve.. is this our first official date?" Veronica- (laughs) "I guess so Betty, are you sick of me yet?" Betty- "well you did pull me out of bed, but no, no I'm not"

I smiled back at her before we finished eating. We went home and spent the entire day on the couch together until I had to get ready to go

Betty

a couple days later, I was packing my small beg to go to Archie's for the weekend. I didn't want to, I wanted to stay with Veronica.

Veronica- "it'll be over before your know it, then you can come back and we can do whatever you want" Betty- "promise?" Veronica- "yep, whatever you want" She wrapped her arms around my neck and turned me around. We were looking in the mirror as she stood on her toes and kissed my cheek. Betty- "I hate him" Veronica- "so do I, I mean he did hurt my amazing girlfriend" she rested her chin on my shoulder

Betty- "promise you'll still be here when I get back" Veronica- "obviously. There is no where else I'd rather be" I smiled and laid my head against her shoulder. She helped me pack the ugliest clothes that I owned before waving me off. It took everything in my body to not run back into her arms and stay in bed with her until monday morning but I knew I couldn't do that

I got to Archie's apartment and could immediately tell that something was off with him. There were beer bottles everywhere and it smelled of smoke and alcohol. Betty- "A-Archie?" Archie- (slurs) "h-hey baby" he walked over to me and tried to kiss my cheek but I stopped him. Betty- "Arch, we should talk"

At that point, I didn't care about revenge anymore. I just wanted to be home with Veronica. Archie- "don't you dare break up with me, I'm the best thing that ever happened to" his personality switched in the blink of an eye and all I could do was watch hopelessly

He reached for me and took my wrist tightly in his hand. Betty- "Arch, l-let go of me!" He didn't listen and threw me onto the couch, I couldn't stop was coming and all I could think about was that I was that I was betraying Veronica.
