SKY's POV

━ ━━━ ━━༺𓆩☾𓆪༻━━━━ ━ ━

The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the room as Nakshatra slowly awoke, her body heavy from the events of the night before. The dream was still fresh-vivid, yet fragmented-like pieces of a puzzle she couldn't quite put together. She sat up, pushing aside the unease that lingered in the air, and rubbed her eyes, trying to shake off the grogginess.

A soft knock interrupted her thoughts."Come in," Nakshatra called out, her voice thick with sleep. Ruhani and Trisha entered the room quietly. Trisha's arms were crossed, and her expression was as sharp as ever, though there was a flicker of concern behind her eyes.

Ruhani gave Nakshatra a warm but tentative smile as she approached the bed."How are you feeling?" Ruhani asked softly, taking a seat on the edge of Nakshatra's bed. She knew Nakshatra had been through something strange the previous night, but neither of them had the words to explain it."I'm fine," Nakshatra replied, her voice steady but tired. "Just needed some rest.

"Trisha stood by the door, clearly impatient. "You've been out all day. We still need to finalize the project details for the function, remember?"Ruhani glanced at Trisha, signaling her to soften her tone. "It can wait if you're not up for it, Nakshatra. We were just worried about you.

"Nakshatra's eyes darted between the two of them. There was a pause before she sighed. "No, let's do it now. I don't want to fall behind."Ruhani reached for her notebook, pulling out the pages they had been working on. "It's mostly just finalizing the presentation and the setup.

I can handle most of it if you need more rest."Trisha chimed in, less sympathetic but still focused. "We need your input on a few things. You have a knack for pulling together the creative stuff, and we've got to make sure it stands out."They spent the next few minutes going over the project.

Nakshatra offered ideas, but her mind was still somewhere else, lingering on the cliff and the unsettling feeling from the previous night. She tried to focus, but the weight of something unknown kept pulling her attention back to the dark woods outside. After the discussion, Ruhani closed her notebook and stood. "Alright, we'll manage the rest. Just take care of yourself."Trisha lingered a moment longer, her gaze softening slightly.

"Don't overdo it. We'll need you at your best."Once they left, the room felt quiet again. Nakshatra sat still, her thoughts racing. The cliff kept calling her back, like an unfinished sentence. She had to return, to face whatever it was lurking in the shadows.

Later that evening, Nakshatra paced outside Ruhani's room, her thoughts swirling in a storm. Her restlessness gnawed at her, and no amount of conversation or distraction had been enough to shake the feeling that there was something unfinished, waiting for her in the forest. She knocked on Ruhani's door, her hand trembling slightly. When Ruhani opened it, her surprise was evident.
