Chapter 9: The Bridge Rescue

Y/N's P.O.V

It's been an hour and the cure is now finished.

I hold up the vile with the cure in it.

Tommy: So, that's it? That's the cure?

Y/N: Yep.

I then load it into an injector.

Y/N: All I have to do is stick him with this and bye-bye Green Goblin. Theoretical.

Jaime: Well, it's better than nothing.

Tommy: Yeah, it is.

The monitor starts beeping and Jaime turns to look at it.

Jaime: Oh, I've got a line on the Goblin. He's on a flight path towards the Queensboro Bridge.

Y/N: I'm on it. 

I quickly grab my mask.

Tommy: Y/N, be careful.

Y/N: I will.

Jaime: Good luck, man.

Y/N: Thanks.

Harry stops me.

Harry: Y/N, wait.

Y/N: Yeah?

Harry: I just want you to know, if the cure doesn't work and my father is really gone... then you do what you have to do. It's okay.

I know what he means by that and it won't come to that.

Y/N: It won't come to that, Harry. I promise.

He nods.

Harry: Okay. Good luck.

Y/N: Thanks.

I put my mask on and leave.

It's time to stop Green Goblin and hopefully save Norman Osborn.

(Twenty minutes later)

I swing over the the Queensboro Bridge and land on a building across from it.

Just then I see an explosion in the distance.

My eyes widen.

Y/N: Damn, Mr. Osborn. What are you doing?

I look around.

Y/N: I gotta get over there, but how?

I look down and see flagpoles.

This gives me an idea.

Y/N: Okay. I hope this works.

I use two web lines and pull myself back as far as I can.

Y/N: Here goes... nothing.

I let go and slingshot forward to the bridge.

Spider-Man makes it to the bridge and starts web swinging through it.

After that he swings up and shoots into the air.
