The familiar alarm sounds
I walk to the showers and nothing but shouts greet my ears.
I ignore everything around me as i place my towel over my shoulder and exit the block to the showers.
The communal showers have never been an issue for me, because I only use them at night when the others are locked away, but I am always on edge incase something happens.
Today I shower quicker then I usually do, maybe it's because of the silence apart from the showers spray as I turn it on, or maybe it's because of how angry I still am at that guard- either way I was changed and walking back to my cell in a matter of half an hour.
"You'll be begging for it eventually" I hear him singing "Hunny my pockets still free- I'm going to get you and believe me you'll wish you were free"
I swallow but keep my head forward as I try to ignore his singing tune.
Walking over to my cell, the door opens as the guard on watch sees me.
I hear the familiar sound of the gate being hauled open but I also hear a conversation I'm sure I am not suppose to.
"The only way you will be uninterrupted for that sort of time, papì, is if the guards are distracted"
I still my hands from drying my hair with my towel as I stop in the entrance of my cell. I listen to the conversation from next door.
"A lockdown. If we can get Gen Pop locked down for the day then you would have all the time you need" the man says
Their movements still for a moment and I can no longer hear them in the darkness and I think that maybe they have finally gained their minds back and have registered how bad of an idea their conversation sounds.
"Can you get to the prisons AC unit?" The man asks as I hear him sit up.
"Maybe" Ink responds
"You need to get the inmates riled up, if you wants to piss off the meat in concrete you've got to turn up the heat"
I raise my eyebrow as I hear the plan that they are making. Why would someone need extra time to do something, we've got nothing but time in prison.
As I enter my cell I sit down on my bunk as the door closes behind me
They don't want the guards to know, so it must be something bad, but what?
The rest of the night I spend lying awake, trying to figure out what my next door neighbours are planning.

The next morning I spend the day writing in my notebook, it's one of the only things that they let me have in here- apart from a few books.
I sit on the floor with the pen in my mouth as I try to concentrate.
But between the growing heat and the noise right by my ear I'm starting to get a headache
"You'll be begging me for dick and T-bag will provide you with his stick, however not just for no price, the bitch will be as good as mine" He raises his voice as he sings
I turn to look at the man and his bored expression is replaced by a smile
"Well hello sugar. Care to reconsider my offer?"
"As bad of a singing voice as you have T-bag, the answer is still no" I say with a sigh as I return my attention back to my book.
"What are you doing anyway?" He shouts back
"Why, do you want to know?" I shout back "Because I think that the answer is non of your business"
He laughs "you've got a sense of humour I see, well you can-"
"T-bag, give the girl some space" A guard calls as he walks towards my cell
I smirk at the man as he rolls his eyes and drops the grip he had on my cell bars.
"I'm moving, I'm moving, no need to shout boss" he says
The smile instantly gets wiped off my face as I hear the name and the smile gets thrown back onto t-bags instead.
"See you later sugar"
He walks away just as the guard appears
He stares at me, as I sit on the floor with my notebook in my hands, for a minute.
"What do you want?" I ask as I place the book behind me
"I think we got off to a bad start" he says
I stand from the floor and cross my arms
"A bad start?" I repeat
"Yeah, I recon we should start over. I'm Brad Bellick, but you can call me boss" he says with a smile that doesn't suit his face.
I look at him
"What do you want Bellick?" I ask
He drops his smile as he stand closer against the bars
"I need you to do some snooping for me" he says
"And why do you think I would do anything for you?" I ask
He wets his lips as he thinks, but that's before he looks on my wall and smiles
"Looks like you've got some pretty friends" he says
I look to where he is looking and I scoff
"My sisters? They're out of your league Bellick" I say as I move to stand in his line of sight of the picture.
"Will they ever come and visit you? You've been here three days and you've not had one visitor" he taunts
I swallow
"Well if they do I could always let them give you a hug.... You'd like that wouldn't you?" He asks
I bite my cheek before I talk
"What do you need done?" I ask
He smiles
"Tell me what Sucrè and Micheal are planning" he says
I scoff
"How would I know?" I ask
"Because you're next door to their cell, find out and tell me and I can arrange for you to see one of your sisters in a private room away from prying eyes.... Do some catching up or whatever it is that you do"
The alarm blares- signalling that outdoor time is now in session.
The men make their way to the doors and I know that my cell will be opening any minute so that I can also make my way to my outside area.
"Just.... Think about it" he says as he starts to whistle and he walks away as if he said nothing
I watch after him until the door to outside closes after all the men and my cell door opens.
I grab my notebook and a pen and I walk to see the sun for the first time in a while.
