"I've got it" I hear as I keep my eyes trained on scouting out the other inmates outside.
I hear the nicer guard walk away and then I see Bellick standing in his place.
I keep my mouth shut, but the scowl on my face tells him all he needs to know about how I feel when I see him.
I hold my hands out as Bellick unlocks my handcuffs.
I rub my wrists as he smirks and shuts the door of my fenced in area.
He locks it with a smile
"When your times up I will come and get you, have fun playing outside, oh and remember my offer- it's not gonna be there forever" he says with a smirk
"I'm not a five year old" I mutter as I walk further into the fenced area.
Although I am grateful for my own space due to the likes of T-bag and others, it sucks that I have no one to socialise with.
I sit myself down on the grass against the opposite fence to the one Bellick is walking away by.
I pull out my notebook and try to write some more, but glaring at Bellick is taking the majority of my concentration.
"He's a creep, isn't he?"
I quickly move away from the fence at the unexpected voice from behind me.
"Wow, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" The man says
I look at him and it's quite clear that he's different to the other men that I've seen in here.
He has a different coloured uniform and he's also in his own cage, separate to everyone else.
"Sorry, I guess I'm on edge" I smile as I sit back to where I was before and he rests against the same fence piece on the other side.
"I'm Lincoln" He says
"Scofield?" I guess
"Burrows" he corrects "but yes, Micheal and I are brothers"
I nod as I place my head back against the fence behind me
"Your brother told me that you were in here" I say with a laugh "I didn't think I'd meet you like this, but nice to meet you" I say
He smiles "seems as though we both get our own little play pen away from the others" he jokes "I can't say I don't prefer it, though"
I raise my eyebrow as I turn to him waiting for an explanation
"Look at them, they're acting like it's the 1900s again. Someone should tell them that segregation is a thing of the past"
I look over at the big outside area and I see exactly what he's talking about. The white people sit on one side while the black people sit on the opposite.
"At least they're not fighting" I say
"Yet" Lincoln adds
I look at a few individuals and I see exactly what he is talking about- some hide handmade shanks by their sides while others give menacing looks to the opposite group.
"This heat isn't adding water to the fire either" he mutters "it's only a matter of time before something happens"
That draws my attention as I remember the conversation I overheard yesterday night.
"Your brother- he doesn't seem like the type to be in prison" I say as I turn my head to look at Lincoln
He smiles at the mention of Micheal "he's not.
When I saw him in here I was shocked.... I'm afraid that he lashed out because he was angry that I am in here"
