Bruce comes home and pushes his bike on his front lawn. He checks to see if his parents cars are there, but they're not. He leaves out a relieved sigh. He unlocks the front door, and sees his little sister Amy watching TV in the living room. He walks up into his room and locks the door behind him. His head is still throbbing and he hurt his knee after falling off his bike, he's exhausted and decides to study for his math homework. After around four hours of studying and having some dinner he decides it's a nice time to go to sleep. He hopes the headache will wear off after a good sleep.

Vance decided to hang out with his friends after school. Two boys called Michael and Craig. They met up at Grab N' Go. "Man, Vance, I have to tell you something!" Craig starts. Vance gives him a nod to signal he is listening while still playing pinball. "So you know Bruce Yamada right? You've punched him a few times!" Vance  glances over. "Okay so, I saw him leaving school and I kicked over that idiot's bike with him on it!" Craig grinned. Vance didn't give any response and just glares at the little ball inside of the machine, fixated on not losing.

Michael was also grinning. "Vance?" He chimed in. "Shut up, I have to focus." Vance snarled. The two boys glanced at each other and left the pinball machine to go browse the store. Vance watched as the ball rolled back into the machine and he kicked it. He left the store without saying anything to his friends.

Craig and Michael watch as he leaves the store. "Dude, I heard he punched Yamada today." Michael said. "Really?" "Yeah, some kid told me, he watched it happen."

Vance went straight to bed after heading home. He had no reason to stay up. Grades didn't mean anything to him. He woke up the next morning at 10 a.m. He struggled to wake up, the air in his room being cold. He let out a small groan and sat up. "Mhh. I guess I could walk outside today. I don't have much else to do anyway." He mumbled to himself. He got up and put on a black sweater, covering it with his short-sleeved denim jacket. His room was on the bottom floor, he left his room and opened the front door. The sky was a light grey and it was a little chilly.

He left his house and wandered the street. There was nobody outside and there was a slight fog. He walked around the neighbourhood for a couple of minutes, he passed the school but soon wandered onto the entrance of the park. He quietly entered, just looking around at his surroundings. Wet tree leaves covered the sides of the path. Vance becomes slightly bored, he expected to run into one of his friends. Or maybe some idiot to mess with. He turned onto a smaller path, leading to a bench with a boy sitting on it, hunched over a notebook.

Vance smirked, knowing he wouldn't let this kid get away. "Hey, you." He loudly snarled. The boy looked up and Vance realised it was Bruce. "Bruce Yamada? Why is he studying here? He's the first person I see. What do I say to him?" Vance's thoughts where interrupted by a voice. "Yes..?" Vance snapped out of his thoughts, turning to look down at him. He smirked. "Are you seriously studying? You're such a nerd." He said. Bruce gave him an annoyed glance. "I'm studying. We have a test Monday, but I doubt you've studied." He said.

Vance knew it was the truth. Of course he hadn't studied, why would he have? School is just for losers. "Are you calling me stupid?" He said lividly. Bruce glanced back up, looking slightly worried. "No, I was just stating-" Vance leaned closer over him. There was a slight awkward silence. Bruce closed his notebook carefully and went to stand up. As soon as he tries to, he feels Vance pushing him back on the bench. "Listen carefully Yamada. You are not important. You might be a happy fairy walking around the school, studying in the park, but you are nobody." He said, with an incensed tone.

He looked at Vance, with furrowed brows and a clenched jaw. "What do you want from me?" Bruce said with a stern voice. In response he just got a glassy look from him. "Hello..?" Vance also furrowed his brows, looking like he was lost for words. "I said-" "Get out of here Yamada." Vance snarled. He quickly stood up and took his notebook, walking away without giving him a second look.

"Fuck." Vance whispered to himself. "Why didn't I just beat that asshole up?"  He looked at Bruce slowly turning around the corner, wondering if he should chase him down just to mess with him. "He isn't worth my time. I should go home." He slowly turns around and starts walking back to his house, deciding to pass by Grab N' Go again. He enters the store and the bell hanging above the door rings. He plays pinball for a while, trying to beat his high score. The store clerk keeps an eye on him, but knowing it isn't a busy day decides to stop focusing on Vance after a bit. Vance loses his game for the third time, and he kicks the machine again. He can't focus, his mind is elsewhere.

He decides he's played enough, it's been a few hours and the game has agitated him. He decides to leave. As he swings open the Grab N' Go door the bell rings again. "Thank you for coming.." The store clerk muttered to herself. Vance paces down the streets, looking around as he walks home. He's been out for a bit and he has become quite cold. The weather and lack of people has kind of calmed him down. He just wants to be home and eat something.

He arrives at his driveway, he walks inside through the garage door. As usual nobody is home. He walks into his room and sits down at his desk. He decides to doodle some stuff on his desk, which turned into him trying to stab it with pencils. His mother came home after around an hour of him doing so. She made two TV dinners and Vance took his, eating the meal in his room. He spend some time reading magazines while listening to music. It had become dark out and he decided to head to bed.
