Bruce woke up, his eyes stinging as the light from his window. His face burned up as he realised he was cuddled up in Vance's arms. He quickly remembered what happened the night before. He had to urge to cuddle up to him, and instead of resisting it he just decided to go for it.
He didn't know why he'd gotten the urge, it just felt right. But now here he was, in the arms of the sleeping Vance fucking Hopper. The boy who had bullied him for weeks.

The even more confusing part is that Vance cuddled up to him too? Was he cold, or was he too tired to think about it? Bruce slowly tried to sit up a bit, failing to do so since Vance's arms kept him down. He let out a sigh before hugging up to the boy again, deciding to just wait till Vance woke up too.

Around thirty minutes past, every single minute made Bruce more flustered. Last night it seemed like a good idea, but now he had to be conscious about it, it was scary. What if Vance woke up and became angry? All his thoughts paused when he felt Vance slowly lift his head.

He let out a tired groan, wrapping his arms off of Bruce. Bruce pretended to still be asleep, resting his head on the pillow, his eyes closed. He listened as Vance sat up, letting out a deep sigh. He felt Vance move again. He put his face in his hands, resting upon his knees.
Vance's face was burning up again, he hated it. "Fuck." A small murmer escaped his lips.

His mind was racing again, all that was on his mind was confusing. He didn't know what to think, but somehow he felt like every thought in the world was in his head anyway. He lifted his face from palms, looking over at Bruce. He reached his hand out, shaking Bruce's shoulder. Bruce slowly opened his eyes and sat up, rubbing them. He almost fell asleep again.
"It's.." Vance paused for a second, looking over at the alarm. "11 a.m. already."

"Really?" Bruce muttered, his voice deeper than normal because he was tired. Vance nodded, his face was still a bit red. They made eye contact and Bruce's face flushed red too. He didn't know if he should apologise, or just not mention it at all. Pretend it never happened, for the sake of their friendship. But before he could make that decision Vance spoke up. "We should go make some food." Ignore it, apparently.

Bruce slid out of bed, Vance following after him. It was Saturday so almost everyone was at home. Bruce was silently praying in his head that his mom didn't enter his room while they where asleep. They walked downstairs and saw Amy sitting in the TV room, watching some cartoon. Ms. Yamada gave both boys a warm smile, she was reading the newspaper on the couch.

"Hi mom, good morning!" Bruce smiled back at her. "You boys are up late." She said, not dropping her warm smile. "Yeah, we stayed up late playing chess." She nodded, looking back to her newspaper. The two boys walked over to the kitchen, Bruce grabbed cereal from a cupboard. He put it on the counter and walked to the fridge, grabbing the milk.

He poured two bowls of cereal, obviously putting the cereal first because he isn't insane. He handed Vance one and they sat down. Vance's hair was a mess, and so was Bruce's. Surprisingly Vance's hair still looked very good, especially to Bruce. They ate the cereal in silence, afterwards Bruce cleaned up their two bowls. Vance thanked him for taking his bowl too.

Both boys noticed the tension between them. It was slightly uncomfortable. "We should go back upstairs." Bruce mentioned. Vance agreed and they both walked up the stairs. They went into the room and sat down on Bruce's bed. They say nothing, it was just silent. Bruce was praying that he would say something, that something, anything, would happen.

And almost as if she had heard his thoughts, Amy walked into the room. "Heyyyy.." She said, looking back and forth between the two. "Hey Amy, what's up?" Bruce asked. Vance just furrowed his brows, giving her an annoyed glance. "Sooo," She said in a suspicious tone.

Bruce raised an eyebrow. "I went to check on you two this morning.." She slowly said.
Both Bruce and Vance's face immediately went red. "Oh." Bruce murmured.
"So, you better tell me what's going on here." She said, crossing her arms and standing in front of the two boys, who were sitting on the edge of the bed. She gave them both a stern look, and Vance gave her an annoyed one.

"Nothing." Vance spoke up, his tone unreadable. Amy nodded before turning her head slowly to Bruce. They both stayed silent, Amy expecting him to say something too. "Yeah, nothing." Bruce added.
"You realise you'd be dead if dad was the one to see that, right?" Amy said. Bruce nodded slowly and Vance glanced over to him. Amy nodded back before trotting out the room, leaving the door somewhat ajar.

Awkward silence again. Vance let out a deep sigh, facepalming slightly. Bruce stayed silent, having his eyes only focused on the desk. "Should we talk or just leave it be." Vance spoke up, his voice harsh like always. Bruce thought for a second. He didn't have much to say, he didn't understand why he had cuddled Vance in the first place. And he never liked confrontation.

"Leave it be, just know I'm sorry." Bruce muttered.

After a short pause Vance answered. "It's alright." They looked at each other, both of them still fairly tired. "It is?" "Yeah." Bruce smiled at Vance, and he gave a small smile back.
"Your hair is a mess." Bruce laughed. "So is yours!" Vance exclaimed.
Bruce grabbed his camera from his nightstand, pointing it at Vance before snapping the picture. "Perfect!" He chuckled, and Vance rolled his eyes.

It was almost 4 p.m. Vance had to head home, otherwise his dad would be angry. They stood by the door. "You really have to go?" Bruce whined. Vance laughed, getting up from tying his shoes. "Yes." He said, smirking. "Have fun missing me." Vance teased. "I will." Bruce said sarcastically. Vance opened the door, waving goodbye to Bruce.
He was about to step off of the porch when he heard something behind him. He glanced around, and before being able to think he felt Bruce embracing him. He tensed up for a second before hugging him back, pushing them together tightly.

"Bye Bruce."
"Bye Vance." Bruce mumbled, letting go.
