Onika's POV
I woke up to Beyoncé's beautiful face; she looked so peaceful in her sleep. "Stop staring at me, Onika," she said as she covered my eyes. "You look beautiful first thing in the morning," I added with a smile. "You know we have to get up soon," I said while checking my phone. "It's noon, love," I continued.
Beyoncé stood up, stretching her body. "What are you doing today?" she groaned. "Well, I'm going to meet with Rihanna today. I'm going to get more details about her and Solange."
"Have you already talked about it?" she questioned. "Yes, I forgot to tell you! That's how I even got Kelly's number to give you that gift," I said. Beyoncé nodded slowly. "That makes sense... Does Solange know about us?" I shook my head. "No, I didn't tell Rih about you. I made up some dumb lie. I told her I met Kelly a while back, lost her number, and wanted her number again. I mentioned that Solange was her 'friend,' et cetera. But... she thinks my boo is Kelly." Beyoncé gasped. "Onika, no!" she exclaimed.
"I had to make up something. I didn't know what to say, and I'm a terrible liar. It was quick thinking!" I emphasized. "Fine, but you can tell her today that we're together. I'm okay with that," Beyoncé said with jealousy laced in her voice. "You're jealous, love?" I asked. She rolled her eyes.
"Because you're with me, I don't want people thinking you're with someone else. That's all," she said. "That's all you've got to say, love. I got you." I got up to kiss her cheek. "Thank you," she smiled.
"Are you going to come back to my house later?" she asked nervously. "Yes, mama. I'll come back," I could sense the happiness that took over her.
Before officially leaving, I did my morning routine in her guest room while she ordered breakfast from Dunkin for me to take with me to Rihanna's. The aroma of the bacon egg, and cheese made my taste buds jump from side to side. I let her know I was heading out before leaving. I ate my food while I drove to Rih's apartment.
I arrived at her apartment and knocked on her door. To my surprise, she answered immediately. "Nikaa!" she yelled. "Hey boo! I missed you," she hugged me. "Hey Robyn, I missed you more," I giggled.
As we walked into her apartment, I noticed that she had pottery equipment set up. "So... I was so excited for you to come over, so I set everything up for us to have an entire pottery session," she smiled. "Someone's in a good mood today," I remarked. "Always! Plus, we have a lot to catch up on, so sit down," she pointed to the pottery machine she had set up next to hers.
In the background, psychedelic soul music played, which she loved listening to as it calmed her nerves and made her feel free.
Rihanna has always been interested in trying new things and being different, and I adore that about her. Many people tend to think less of her because she is a stripper, but the crazy thing is she is highly intelligent. Many people don't know she has a Master's Degree in Psychology. Stripping is just a job she has that provides quick money for now, but she does have other plans in the near future.
"I actually love that you invited me over to do this; it's very peaceful," I said, placing the clay on the pottery wheel. I didn't know what I was doing, but I followed after Rih. "You know this is me when I'm not acting crazy," she laughed. "It's okay, though. I love the balance," I said.
"How have you and Solange been doing?" I asked.
Rih began to spin her wheel, slapping the clay on each side, eventually applying water to the clay and leaning forward to apply force. "It's actually been great. For the first time, I feel love to the point I don't even want another person," she spoke with so much calmness.
