Minji
I gently felt Hanni's hand as we sat on the sand of the beach, a beautiful night view before us. But my eyes couldn't stop looking at her. Hanni to me was the most beautiful thing to exist.
And I'm lucky to call her mine.
I pulled Hanni closer to me as she sat between my legs, her back against my chest, her hair moving all over my face. But I didn't care. My other hand on her belly, my eyes still set on her side profile.
"We still have some time for baby names." Hanni said and I couldn't help but smile and muzzle my nose against her cheek. "A girl, I know it, I can feel it." I said and Hanni chuckled.
"You're so sure, aren't you?" I nodded as I kissed her cheek. "Haneul is on the way." Hanni shook her head. "You have to prepare boy names too." She said, cupping my cheek and nuzzling her cheek with my own. "I know, I'm still in the process of that." I said with an eye smile and she only giggled as she kissed my cheek.
Hanni's only three months in, and yes, I knocked her up too soon, but we're both mature adults, and we talked about this like the mature adults we are.
The box inside of my shorts will change everything for the better. I also did sell my company so I'm still a millionaire no matter what, me and Hanni also have plans on opening our own simple little business after our baby is born.
"I never knew life could be this peaceful." She said, looking up at the dark night sky. "And I especially didn't think that I'd be falling in love, like ever. I thought I would be stuck in that club for the rest of my life." She said in a slight whisper.
"You're the best thing to ever happen to me. You walked in to that club and gave me one night that I knew I was never going to forget. And I never told you this but I've like you since the day you first stepped foot in the company." My eyes went wide as I grabbed her chin and made her look at me.
"What?" I asked and she gave me a soft smile. "You were 18, I remember running an errand for the design team when I saw you with your father. You were always so grumpy and quiet. You caught my eye since that moment. And you kind of became my long time crush since then." My jaw went slack.
"Why didn't you tell me this sooner?" I asked and Hanni shrugged. "I'm pretty sure a chance with you was only a probability if I had ever decided to act upon my feelings at the time, plus, it definitely wasn't my best era." She let out another sigh as she leaned even more to me. My hand still caressing her belly.
"When I walked in to that club that night, and you saw me. What did you feel?" I asked and she gave me a smile. "That's when I knew there was a chance. So I guess you can say that I felt happy, I just wasn't sure if I'd be good enough to get you to notice me." She said, with a slight tint on her cheeks. I couldn't help but pinch her cute chubby cheeks.
"If I were to be speaking from the bottom of my heart, I think I fell in love with you the moment I saw you walk on that stage. You looked so beautiful. My eyes had never seen such beauty." I said as I wrapped my arms around her. "I was yours the moment my eyes landed on you, and after that night. I had to get more of you." I said kissing her neck.
"I can't stay away from you. I'm glued to you. One minute away from you feels like a whole eternity. I will never let you leave me, Hanni. You're only mine." I said as I peppered kisses all along her jaw. She giggled as her hand reached out to hold the back of my head.
"Hm, that's what I like to hear. You're only mine, baby. Got it?" And I nodded dumbly against her shoulder, hiding my face. But then I couldn't help but smile as I reached inside of my pocket for the box. My heart was practically thumping against my chest and I feared that Hanni could hear it.
I'm nervous, maybe even a little scared. When Hanni told me she was pregnant she was scared that I wasn't ready just yet since everything kind of happened so fast. But I love her with my whole heart, and I was more than ready for anything with her.
But right now, I was about to take a giant jump in our relationship. And it's completely out of order but I know I'm doing the right thing. Hanni deserves for me to make her happy and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
"Hanni, at times I wonder in what other circumstance we would've met, and at times I don't think that anything will ever top this." I said as I took the box out. "Unless I was slipping and you caught me because that would be awesome." I said as showed her the box, opening it slowly.
"I know that there's still a lot for me to learn and improve. But I do promise you a better future with me. I'm going to be a mom soon, and I don't want to be just your girlfriend anymore. We're already tied together so why not make it official, hm? Marry me, Hanni. And I'll make you the happiest woman alive and you won't ever have a single regret."
The bright diamond shined, her eyes sparkled as she turned to look at me with tears. "I know I should be on one knee for you, but I don't want to move you because you're warm." I said and she let out a giggle as she reached out to grab my face.
"I'll marry you in every life, I mean it. I'll marry you in this one and every single one that follows because I know it's going to be you." She said as she brought me in to a heart and body melting kiss.
"And I know that'll I'll be the happiest woman alive next to you. You've made my life better the moment you stepped in it. And there's nothing I could be more grateful for. You're my little angel." She said pulling away from me.
"I know our futures aren't guaranteed but I promise that I'll be with you until the end, it's either I live with you or I don't live at all." I said and her breath got caught up in her throat. "Minji, don't say stuff like that. You deserve your own life too." I shook my head.
I took out the ring and grabbed one of her hands. I aligned the ring to her finger and slid it on her. "Without you there's no me, no life. I wouldn't know what to do without you." I said whole heartedly and her face softened. "Don't worry about any of that, because I know that I'll always be with you." She said.
"Forever." She continued as she showed off the ring that looked beautiful on her. And I could already see myself laying next to her in my casket. It'll forever be me and her.
She's the woman I'll always love.
