A/N:
Is this a preview or prologue, hell or even sampler? Idk but I feel like I'm much behind so I'm posting this now and also have ethics out there to see if this interests at least a few.4:23pm
He sits in the forest of books, and shelves; working at his unspokenly claimed spot at the library, the usual know it's his own space.
The table the brunette is occupying is up against the beautifully stained glass, is pretty much in the open, but secluded. With the gap of this rectangular table being farther in distance then the main circular tables. In the center of the wide open space of the library only round wooden tables Littering the empty cavity.
The big shelves of books are more near the walls with the exception being the front wall of the library that faces out into the city. The glassed-holed wall is the excuse of that, with Dazai's table pressed up on it, though yes the rectangle sitting area is almost sectioned off in a way. As marked off with big dark wood shelves that hover over almost as wall from the table, only leaving half exposed. The other side of said table gets hidden by the oak supporting walls stored with books, novel section...
Though where Dazai is seated, it's on the end and his right side is getting hit by afternoon light. Left side; out and exposed to the main cavity of the quiet library, giving him the perfect balance of tranquility of isolation. The other hand out in the open to other when you look in his area, letting others note, (that aren't the usal) that the basically a cubical of an space is not vacant.
This also allow Osamu to be able to glance up and to his right over viewing his shoulder to the open way. Seeing out to the library which typically has students though a decent amount as this is a well known library in the area. If not the best in at least all of Yokohama, it's a pretty grand library which go the opposite and away from the city-window wall. You will get greeted with big elegant stairs the bring your up to the second story: containing the most of fantasy and horror on left side. Turn the other side you will find business and life advice books, (where Dazai got his: Complete Guide To Suicide; book, great book would recommend!).
But that's not all; the public space is one more story bigger and if you go to all the way of the edges. From the second floor you can head up to the third floor where it wraps around all the wall, once again not the big window main front. So it's like a balcony that over looks the rest of the quiet space that you can look down and admire both the amazing amount of books and the gorgeous architecture of the walls. Yes, even with all the dark oak shelves that infect all throughout the library with hiding most parts, you can see the amazing designs engraved on the wall giving the grandness of this public setting to allow and live up to it's name. Being a recommendation to visit in Yokohama, even if it's not for the intentions of reading or studying, at least the very engagements on the inner. With being most prominent on the main wall that face out of to the bustling city and main street of Yokohama: as it's unbidden by book holders and even the windows fall into this Greek architecture vibe that's going on.
The breathe taking details is also why it's so popular yet still spacious to comfortably accommodate all the people that are in the building. Students mostly as if this is their choice of location to study, in which Dazai couldn't disagree and also uses this for work purposes. If not in some café: favorite out of all the ones Dazai has sampled in his career, the lighthearted one just two blocks from here, cozy and warm. Underrated yet that's what makes it so wonderful, plus it's not a tourist place and the people who are in the café are norms. Civilians, local; of the city that know of this little cottage theme café hidden between a news store and supply shop that recently declared bankruptcy: out for sell now.
Yet at the current moment it's only...
4:38pm
With being mid day and light casting over Dazai's features and his current book infront if him. He's proof reading his own work more or so for just pleasure and enjoyment, relaxing and himself enjoying being a reader and the wonders of a book.
