Fun Fact: Lionesses do indeed, grow manes. I however did not know that. I just thought only the males had them.
The sky glows a brilliant yellow of a rising sun. The grass is green, the palm trees tall. A wild yell is heard, followed by a male plains zebra swinging from a vine. He sails majestically through the air, his mane flowing behind him, He lands and runs through a choir of penguins, who flies away in a perfect diagonal pattern.
On the other side after the zebra passes a bush, a young African lioness emerges, looking after the other. The African kitty starts creeping after the marsupial, he doesn't notice her and keeps galloping to the water, even as the lioness tiptoes to him. He gets closer, and closer.
Until...
"SURPRISE!"
The zebra yells as he falls backwards of his treadmill. "Alice! What have I told you about interrupting me while I'm daydreaming? When the zebra's in his zone, leave him alone!"
"Oh come on, Marty. I was just coming over to wish you a happy birthday!" She said.
"Oh, geez, thanks girl." He smiled.
"Hey, uh, looks like I have something stuck in my tooth," Alice says, rubbing her cheek. "It's driving me crazy, can you help me out here?"
"Well, lucky for you ma'am, you came to the right place. Dr. Marty D.D.S. is in the house," Marty replied. "Now if you sit upon my exam table," Alice jump onto the flat piece of the corner of Marty's fence, opening her mouth wide.
"Ahhh...~"
"I don't see anything."
"It's on the left."
"Ok, here it is!" He pulled out a small snow globe and laughed. "Now what the heck is this doing in here?"
"Happy Birthday!"
Marty chuckled. "Gee, thanks Alice. You put it behind the tooth! Girl, you alright."
"Yeah, can you believe it." Alice hops off the pedestal. "Ten years old! A decade! The big 1-0!"
Marty kind of began to frown again. The lioness got worried at the sight. "What? You don't like it?"
"No, Alice, I like! I love it!"
"You hate it! Ugh! I knew I should have gotten that Melman alarm clock! That's the one, that's the big seller." Alice responded.
"No, Al. it's great. It's perfect." Marty settled the snow globe down with all his other birthday gifts. "It's just another day coming and going, and I'm still the same old thing. Eat some grass, walk over here, drink some water, and walk back over here."
Alice tilted her head and nodded. "Hm, I think I see your problem."
"Maybe I should go to law school?"
The lioness shook her head, "No Marty, you're in a rut and you just need to get out of the old routine!"
"How?" Marty looked confused.
"Add something new! Improvise! On the Fly! You know, make it fresh!" Alice explained while did some punches in the air, along with a little dance. "Fun! Fun! Fun!"
Marty thought for a moment and then nodded. "Fresh. I can do that!"
The bells at the entrance to the zoo soon began to ring, signaling that the zoo was about to open. Alice jumps around excitedly. "Here we go, Marty! It's show time!" Alice cheers as she hopped into the hippo habitat and onto a female hippo's back. "Gloria! It's time to wake up girl!" the lioness yelled, doing a little dance number.
Gloria yawned and looked around. "What day it is?"
"It'a Friday, field day!"
"Yes, it's comedy day, let's get up and...gimme ten more minutes." She yawns and falls back asleep as Alice jumps from Gloria's back, swung around the lamppost that was in the middle of all of their pens and jumped on top of a tall building before tap dancing on the roof.
"Melman! Melman! Melman! Wake up, It's another wonderful day in the Big Apple! Let's go!"
A male giraffe comes out, a cone around his neck. "Sorry, Al but I'm calling in sick. I found another brown spot on my shoulder! See? It's right there!" Melman pointed to a brown spot on his shoulder, the same as all his other brown spots.
Alice rolls her eyes and grabbed the edges of his cone and looked at Melman straight in the eye. "Melman, you know it's all in your head, hmm?"
The gate was opened as children and their parents flooded past them. Not too long passed by when a grown man threw away his coffee cup. A chimpanzee retrieves a newspaper, a bagel, and the half-empty coffee cup from the trash and returns to his roommate Phil, a mute chimp.
"Phil!" Mason called to his primate roommate, noticed he was still asleep in a tree branch, he then smacked him with the newspaper. "Wake up, you filthy monkey."
Mason hands him the coffee, which Phil gargled and threw it back on the ground while Mason read the paper and ate the bagel.
"Ladies and gentlemen. Children of all ages. The zoo now proudly presents..."
A crowd of people surrounded the lion exhibit, where Alice was getting ready for her performance.
"The Queen of New York City: Alice the Lion!"
The crowd cheers for Alice; as well as Marty, Melman, and Gloria while they're doing their own stunts.

Meanwhile, A group of penguins were waddling and waving at the guests of the zoo. "Just smile and wave boys, smile and wave, The leader, Skipper instructs the other two, name Private and Rico.
Skipper turned around to the fish bowl and whispered to it. Kowalski! Progress report!"
A tall penguin moved the fish bowl to show a hole he was in. "We're only five hundred feet from the main sewage line!"
"And the bad news?"
Kowalski showed a broken plastic spoon to his boss. "We've broken our last shovel."
"Right..." Skipper groaned and turned to Rico.
"Rico! You're on litter patrol! We need shovels and find more popsicles sticks. We don't wanna risk another cave in." He gave him a pat on the back before Rico dives in the water.
"Ooh, and me Skipper?" Private asked excitedly.
"I want you to look cute and cuddly Private," Skipper smiled and pinch the young penguins cheeks. "Today we're finally going to blow this dump!" As Skipper and Private flapped their wings making themselves cute, Rico nabs a plastic spoon from a kid.
"What the?"
