Booting up... Indigo yawned and shook out her wings. She blinked and scanned her room. Oops... might have slept longer than i planned to... but i needed it anyways. Indigo yawned again and unraveled her tail from the bar and hopped down to the floor. Indigo checked her internal clock. It is tomorrow, but I think I'll wait a little longer to meet Cedar.
Or should I? Or should I not? Maybe he won't even be there. No, it wouldn't hurt to go anyways. Indigo walked out of her room, down the hallway, past both of her parents then stopped. Should I ask them to come too? I've been meaning to introduce Cedar to them.
"Where are you going, silly?" Her dad asked from the table. "Hey," Indigo exclaimed. "I was going to actually ask if you wanted to come with me to..." Indigo searched for her words. She wasn't sure of what to call Cedar, exactly. "Meet a drone I know."
"Oh," her dad said. "What kind of drone?" her mom asked as she got up from the table and gestured for Blue to do the same. Shoot. "Uhm, he's a murder drone." her dad cocked his head to the side, and her mom wore a slightly confused expression, but no reaction beyond that.
Phew. "K, let's go I guess. Lead the way, Indigo. Do you know how to fly?" Her dad enabled his wings. "Yes," Indigo said. "Ok, then I'll carry Violet on my back." Indigo nodded and went out the door, her dad following her. She enabled her wings and tail, then used one big flap to shoot up into the sky.
"This way," She said over the wind. She flew off in the direction of the clearing that Cedar and her were supposed to meet at. If he isn't there, we can just wait. They flew for a while, then Indigo suddenly stopped, noticing the clearing. "Come down here," she called to her parents. She landed into the clearing and disabled her wings. Her dad landed beside her, let Violet off her back, then disabled his wings as well.
Hmm... I don't see him yet... "Ok, since he isn't here, we can sit for a little bit." Indigo sat down in the snow and patted the ground. Both of her parents sat down as well and looked around. A few minutes later, Indigo's ears picked up a far away sound. Someone landed in the field not far away, landing on a scrap of metal. "I think I heard someone." Indigo got up and headed towards the sound.
Cedar! "Hey, what's..." .........something feels wrong. "Are you ok?" a strange prickly feeling was running through Indigo's senses. It was a very strong feeling of danger, except it was distant. How is that possible? Cedar's visor had a strange symbol on it. When she approached him further, her stomach felt like it had butterflies in it, but at the same time she felt like she was going to throw up. Her ears turned green.
She looked back to make sure her parents weren't approaching, because she had a bad gut feeling about the way Cedar was acting. Lucky, they were both standing by a tree, observing. I swear, this isn't how he acts. "Cedar... you're making me nervous," Indigo groaned with her ears pinned back. Cedar's symbol on his visor flashed to a ruby red.
I've gotta get to him somehow. I think something is messing with his mind. He was just standing there. The symbol on his visor was glitching between his green color, and that scary ruby red. It stopped, staying green before Cedar opened his eyes and started gasping for air.
"Indigo! I don't have much time to explain this so just listen. Something is taking over my mind. It's not just me in here, I think it's my "boss". His name is Cyclone. I can't- I'm fighting- my head-" Cedar's visor glitched like a rapid succession of flashing photos, then he fell to the ground.
I was right. It's not just him in there. What should I do? Cedar suddenly stood up, but the red symbol was on his screen again. Then his mouth moved, but what came out wasn't his voice. "Hello," whoever was in his head said in a British accent.
