Same bunker, Copper 9, 3096...

Indigo has grown old enough to have wings and a tail, in fact, she should have had them when she was ten. But for some reason, she hasn't grown her wings and tail yet. Her dad said that she would get them any day, but they still haven't come. Instead, she has horns, and ears that change colors and move on command. She guessed it was cool, but she wanted to soar above the cold, icy, frosted land. She wanted to wave her tail around and hold it over her head like a scorpion. There was even a cool little thing she'd seen her dad do, where he hung upside down from his tail and wrapped his wings around himself like a bat.

She wanted to do that! Ugh... how she desperately wanted to fly. Maybe... she wouldn't ever get her wings. WAIT! She was the daughter of a murder drone! She had all the answers she needed! She just had to ask.

She walked inside the bunker and found her dad in his room, in sleep mode. "...Dad! Wake up!" She whispered hoarsely. His deep blue visor beeped, and then flashed on. "What, Indi?" Her dad got up and swished his tail around. His tail.

Indigo's ears unknowingly turned blue. "Why are you sad?" Her dad looked down at her with concern. Indigo let out a growl at her ears, then covered them with her hands. "I'm not-" *sigh* "I was wondering... when am I going to get my tail and wings?"

She uncovered her ears, detecting they were white. "Well, I honestly don't know Indi. Since you are the child of a murder drone and a worker drone, you could not even have them. But I'm pretty sure you will end up getting them. Especially with..." Blue trailed off. "What? Especially with what?"

Indigo's ears turned cyan. (the color of curiosity or surprise.) "I don't think I can tell you right now, sweetheart. Go play, because I have to ask your mom about something. I love you!" Blue smiled at her. Indigo pinned her ears back reluctantly. "I love you too, dad."

Indigo walked for a while, going into the forest. She paced around and kicked little bits of snow covered metal around. Her ears were definitely red. (the color of anger.) "Why does everything have to be so confusing?" She just needed to be alone for a while. She realized that her dad also had claws. She tried to have them come out of her hand.

"Arg! That doesn't work either?" Maybe I just won't get any murder drone related attributes. Maybe I'm not even a murder drone! My mom is obviously a worker drone, but what would prevent her from getting at least one murder drone related genetic?

She sat down in the snow, so she wouldn't overheat from frustration. Ugh. "I might as well just go back home, because there's LITERALLY no point in sitting outside and sulking." She got up and started to head in the direction of the bunker. But, the moment she got up, she felt her ears involuntarily go flat, and chills go down her back.

Something wasn't right. Her ears turned tan, (the color of worry or fear,) and she looked behind her, into the trees. She didn't see anything, but she knew she had to run. She didn't even have a second thought. All she did was look ahead of her, making sure she didn't die. The moment she was at the threshold of the door, she shut it.

Her breath came in big bursts as she tried to steady it. Her parents must have heard the commotion, because they came walking in. "What's the matter, Indi?" her dad said as he swished around his tail. "There's something- chased- danger- I can't-"

She still couldn't steady her breathing. She felt the danger getting closer, and bigger, by every second. She dropped to her knees. Her body was shaking and the chills wouldn't go away. At this point, her visor was starting to glitch, and she was starting to overheat. "Woah. slow down. It's ok." her mom said as she put her hand between Indigo's ears and horns.
