Erin rushed to the room where the campaign was to be held, shutting the door on the chiming that seemed to follow her.
"Hey! Glad you could make it!" Eddie's friends greet the girl as she enters the room, Eddie noticing the hidden distress as he sets up.
"Little Eddie was starting to get a little nervous here." She stares for a moment, the chiming gone as she pants for a moment.
"Sorry, I just got caught up." She offers tersely, making her way closer as she sets down her bag, shutting off the walkmen.
"It's okay. You're here now, I saved you a seat." Eddie offers as he eyes the girl. She nods, taking the seat by him before the realization sinks in, how awfully close they were to one another.
"They should here any-" Eddie turns towards the door with the others as it's opened, on cue the bunch enters, with their replacement. The others stand on the other side of Eddie, facing the group as Eddie stares at them.
"Absolutely not." Eddie determines.
"You asked for a sub. We delivered." Dustin stands by.
"This is Hellfire Club. Not Babysitting Club." Eddie derides.
"I'm 11, you long-haired freak." Erin's brows raise at this, taken back by the girl's sharp insult.
"My, my, the child speaks.." Eddie brings attention, abruptly standing from the table that almost makes Erin flinch.
"So, what's your name, child?" He wedges past Erin, going to face the little girl child replacement.
"Erica Sinclair." Eddie chuckles.
"So this is Sinclair's infamous sister." Eddie turns back to the others. Erica looked back at the two she came with.
"He's sharp." She retorts dully. Eddie's boys laugh, Erin looking down as she bites her smile whilst Eddie gives them a look.
"What's your class and level? Level one dwarf?" This invokes heavier laughter from his friends but the child remains stoic.
"My name is Lady Applejack. And I'm a chaotic good half-elf rogue, level 14. And I will sneak behind any monster you throw my way and stab them in the back with my poison-soaked kukri. And I'll smile as I watch them die a slow, agonizing death. So, we gonna do this, or we gonna keep chit chatting like this is your mommy's book club?" It goes silent for a moment, everyone gobsmacked by the child elite.
"I like her.." Erin grins at the girl, Eddie chewing on his own grin as he holds out a hand.
"Welcome to Hellfire." The boys she came with cheered, Eddie turning to hide his widening smile, though not entirely as Erin takes notice.
They begin the campaign, Eddie beginning with his merciless rules. Erin found herself having fun, laughing in a way she never had before as the game went on. They defeat Vecna, only for Eddie to hit them with a twist; he was still alive! Venca lives!
Eddie slams the piece down, the girl squealing as the others protest. She was showing enthusiasm, and having fun. Even if she was trying to conceal herself when realizing she was growing rowdy like the rest of them. But not once did her beaming smile leave, only increasing Eddie's as the game continued.
A dilemma came up, they were wounded and tired, running low on supplies; do they run or flee? Erin was on the edge of her seat as she waited for them to choose, Eddie trying hard not to laugh at her excitement.
