As people are being murdered and others go missing only so much can be done, though, a certain group is successful in their hunt. Dustin Henderson and his friends hunt down for Eddie, finding him hiding out at one of his friend's place.

They try to break through to the scared traumatized boy, Dustin knowing the boy was in a bad place right now, especially when he was the one that had to break the news to him when he could.

"Eddie, we just want to talk.. It's okay." Dustin speaks slowly as they huddle around him. Robin makes her way closer, a friend of the group's.

"We want to know what happened." Eddie sniffles.

"You won't believe me." Eddie wishes Erin was there, his heart filled with more grief when he gazes around and is reminded she wasn't there with them.

"Try us." Max tries. Max, a part of her had a feeling she knew, but there was nothing to go off of. She was only lucky about Eddie, the fact that Erin is missing is just.. It's-

"Her body just like, lifted up into the air and uh, she was just like hanging there, in the air, and her bones just uh, uh.. Her bones started to snap. Her eyes, man. It was like there was something, like inside her head, pulling. I-I didn't know what to do so I, I ran away. I left here there. You all think I'm crazy, right? Is that why Erin's not here too? She thinks I'm guilty doesn't she?" Eddie cries with a quivering voice. The group looks at him with a heavy heart, Dustin's eyes wavering.

"Um, uh, about that.. Eddie, man." Eddie shook his head incredulously.

"You all think I'm crazy- guilty..!" Eddie cries, hiding his face shamefully from the group, how can they possibly tell him? Dustin felt himself want to cry but doesn't.

"No. We don't think you're crazy, or guilty-"

"-Look, don't bullshit me, man! I know how this sounds, how it looks." Eddie cries out in angst.

"We're not bullshitting you." Max says.

"We believe you." Robin interjects comfortingly. Eddie looks at them, not convinced as Erin wasn't there.

"Look, what I'm about to tell you might be a little... difficult to take." Eddie waits nervously, Dustin working up the nerve to tell him. He fails, admitting their other troubles instead.

"You know how people say Hawkins in.. cursed? They're not, way off.. There's another world, hidden beneath Hawkins. Sometimes it bleeds into ours." Dustin explains cautiously.

"Like ghosts and shit?" Eddie asks.

"There are some things worse than ghosts." Max speaks up, something about the way she acted and spoke reminded him of someone, of Erin. The way she's been acting lately..

"These monsters from this other world.. We thought they were gone but they've come back before. And that's why we needed to find you." Dustin continues further.

"If they're back again, we need to know." Max adds.

"That night.. Did you see anything?" Robin asks.

"Dark particles, maybe?" Max inquires further. Eddie shakes his head.

"It would almost look like dust, swirling dust." Dustin elaborates even more.

"No, man, there was nothing you could see, or tough.. Just, just hear.." He thinks back.

"Hear? Hear what? Like what?" Max questions, the haunting chimes coming to mind.

"I thought I heard.. Erin. But they were asleep, the lights were out. I went back out and.. Chrissy, she, she couldn't move. It was like she, she was in a trance or something.." Eddie says his bits and pieces.
