The group plan, Eddie showing them a place where they could go and get some weapons. It'd be risky but anything at this point. Next, they were gonna need a ride. Eddie asks Max for something to cover his face, using her old Halloween mask of Michael Myers to sneak outside and hijack a trailer nearby. There they file in, hotwiring the automobile and taking off full speed.
They go to the weapon store, Jason and his buddies being there, they too on a quest for new weapons for their next hunt. The group leaves the store shortly after hastily, Jason watching after them. They make their way for cover to prepare themselves, Dustin and Eddie making pointed shields, Nancy sawing away at her shotgun barrel. The group takes the moment to breathe, Eddie and Dustin having a little playful moment to distract themselves from their troubles.
"Never change Dustin Henderson, promise me.."
"I wasn't planning on it." They then check on the Sinclairs, who were working on spears. The two siblings bickering heartily.
They continue with their things for a while, leaving once they're done. Silence falling over the group as it sinks in, they were about to face Vecna. They got one shot at this, no mistakes could be made. They stop, dropping off Erica, Lucas and Max at the Creel house, the others continuing on.
"Okay, I wanna run through it one more time. Phase one." Nancy begins.
"We meet Erica at the playground. She'll signal Max and Lucas when we're ready." Robin recalls.
"Phase two." Nancy adds.
"Max baits Vecna. He'll go after her, which'll put him in his trance." Steve goes this time.
"Phase three." Nancy gives once more.
"Me and Eddie draw the bats away and let Erin know we're here." She nods.
"Four." Nancy says.
"We head into Vecna's newly bat-free lair, and.. Flambe.." Robin holds up an alcohol ready for torching.
"Nobody moves on to the next phase until we've all copied. Nobody deviates from the plan, no matter what. Got it?" Nancy confirms with everyone, Eddie having a feeling she looked at him a little bit longer than the others.
"Got it." They say in unison. They leave the van they were in, making their way for Eddie's trailer to enter through the gate.
"Be careful." Dustin offers Steve.
"Thanks, buddy." He goes, and looks back proudly.
"Ohh, what's he want us to do, applaud?" Robin asks sarcastically. He puts the mattress down for them, waving them through. They go one by one, exiting the trailer once they've all made it through.
"Look guys, listen. If things here start to go South, I mean, at all, you abort. Okay? Draw the attention of the bats and Erin, keep 'em busy for a minute or two. We'll take care of Vecna. Don't try to be cute or a hero or something. Okay, you guys are just here to distract and get Eddie's girlfrie-"
"Decoys, and save Erin." They sigh at Steve's lecturing, Eddie giving up on the girlfriend thing at this point.
"Don't worry. You can be the hero, Steve." Dustin assures.
"Absolutely, I mean, look at us, we are not heroes.. But we're gonna be for Erin, that's all. You get to be the real star, Harrington." Eddie gives a smile, Steve returning a flat one as he turns to leave.
"Hey Steve, make him pay." Eddie stops him for a moment, the two sharing a nod as Nancy, Robin and Steve take their leave now. Leaving Dustin and Eddie to await their go ahead.
