After the wedding, Korn was finally taken to see the business his father had roped him into. His father's assistant drove him deep into the mountains, far from prying eyes and bustling cities. The location was remote, hidden in a place no one would think to look. As they approached, Korn noticed a nondescript building camouflaged by the surrounding forest. It was easy to miss—intentionally, he figured.

Inside, the atmosphere was tense and focused. Rows of people sat at computers, all dressed in matching uniforms, their eyes glued to the screens. The room buzzed with quiet activity, the sound of fingers tapping rapidly on keyboards. This was no ordinary operation. The assistant led him through the labyrinth of workstations until they reached a private office.

"This is where you'll be working," the assistant said, opening the door and motioning him inside. The room was stark but well-organized, with stacks of documents neatly placed on the desk. Korn felt a sense of unease wash over him as he sat down, eyeing the papers.

His father's assistant handed him a binder. “These are the details you need to familiarize yourself with. The nature of the business... it’s not what you're used to.”

Korn opened the binder, scanning the pages. His stomach dropped as he read through the information. The business he had agreed to take over wasn’t a legitimate one. It was an underground gambling operation, completely illegal, with deep ties to various shady dealings. It was a world far removed from the family’s cargo company, hidden behind layers of secrecy.

“So this is what my father does,” Korn muttered under his breath, finally understanding why his father had been so adamant about secrecy.

"Yes," the assistant confirmed. "Your father trusted you with this for a reason. Now it's your responsibility."

Korn sat back in his chair, the weight of the revelation settling heavily on his shoulders. He had no idea what he was getting into.

But as Korn sat there, staring at the documents and the world of crime his father had built, he knew one thing for certain—he wasn’t going to let this continue. There was no way he could allow himself to be complicit in this illegal operation. He had to act, and fast.

Korn closed the binder and looked around the office, feeling the weight of his decision. His father might have thrust him into this, but that didn't mean he had to follow the same path. He would put an end to it, but he had to be smart about it. Shutting down an illegal operation like this wasn’t simple. It would take careful planning, and one wrong move could put him in danger—or worse.

His mind raced as he began piecing together a plan. First, he needed to gather information—detailed records of the business, the key players involved, and the financial channels used to keep it running. He also had to be discreet. If his father or anyone else caught wind of his intentions, it could all blow up in his face.

Korn decided he would pretend to go along with the business for now, acting as though he was slowly learning the ropes. He’d ask questions, get involved just enough to access the information he needed, but not so much that he became trapped in the web of corruption. Meanwhile, he'd begin researching legal avenues to take the operation down without implicating himself.

As he left the office that day, Korn knew this wouldn’t be easy, but he was determined. He couldn’t let his father’s empire continue to harm innocent people. It was time to set things right, even if it meant going against his own family.

Korn met Great for the first time after the wedding and couldn't help but be curious about his brother's love life.

“The guy at the wedding, are you two actually dating?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. Great chuckled, a sly grin creeping across his face as he casually munched on some snacks.

“Nope, I met him for the first time after the accident. He was my doctor," Great replied, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Korn stared in disbelief. His brother had really brought someone he barely knew as his date to their brother’s wedding.

“And he just agreed to it?"

“At first, no. But I pestered him until he said yes," Great said with a sense of pride, his smirk widening.

“For free?" Korn laughed incredulously. Great simply nodded, unbothered.

“So, you won’t see him again?" Korn asked, though he already had a feeling he knew the answer.

Great paused for a second, his expression turning more thoughtful. “What do you think? He’s totally my type, so I’m not letting him go that easily." His smirk returned, full of determination. Korn could only shake his head, chuckling.

“Well, good luck. Just be careful," Korn said, amused but a bit concerned.

Meanwhile, the one they were talking about—Tyme—had no idea what was coming his way.
