Chapter 17: The Final Confrontation
The dimly lit office was silent save for the distant hum of city life outside. YN paced back and forth, her hands shaking, eyes red from hours of sleepless nights and endless tears. The photograph, a cruel reminder of Namjoon’s deception, was still clutched in her hand, now a symbol of her shattered trust.
Namjoon entered the office, his face a mixture of guilt and concern. He had sensed the tension in YN’s messages and knew this confrontation was inevitable. The seriousness in YN’s demeanour only deepened his unease.
“YN, we need to talk,” Namjoon began, his voice steady but strained.
YN turned to face him, her eyes filled with a mixture of anger and sorrow. “You think we need to talk? You think you can just waltz in here and explain everything away?”
Namjoon sighed, stepping closer, trying to reach out to her. “I know you’re hurt, and I’m sorry. I never wanted to lie to you. My situation is complicated, and I should have been honest from the start.”
“Honest?” YN’s voice cracked, her emotions overwhelming her. “You’ve been lying to me about your marriage, keeping me in the dark while pretending everything was perfect between us. I trusted you, Namjoon.”
Tears streamed down her cheeks as she continued, her voice trembling. “I believed in us. I thought what we had was real. But now, it feels like it was all a lie.”
Namjoon’s expression softened, his own emotions bubbling to the surface. He took a step closer, his hand reaching out to gently cup YN’s cheek. “YN, please. I never meant to hurt you. I was trying to protect you from the mess of my personal life. I should have been upfront with you.”
“Protect me?” YN snapped, pulling away from his touch. “You were protecting yourself! I’m the one who’s been hurt, and now I have to deal with the fallout of your choices.”
The tension between them was palpable, the rawness of their emotions coming to a head. Namjoon’s gaze dropped to the floor, unable to meet YN’s tear-filled eyes. He took a deep breath, struggling to find the right words.
“I know I’ve made mistakes,” he said, his voice heavy with regret. “But I can’t change the past. All I can do now is be honest with you and hope that we can find a way to move forward, even if it means stepping away.”
YN’s sobs grew louder, the weight of the situation crashing down on her. “I don’t know if I can just walk away from this,” she said through her tears. “You’ve been everything to me, but how can I trust you now?”
Namjoon’s heart ached at her words. He stepped closer, his own emotions spilling over. “YN, I love you. I know that doesn’t fix everything, but it’s the truth. I want to be with you, but I also understand if you need to leave.”
The air was thick with their pain and desperation, the silent office a stark contrast to the storm raging between them. YN’s tears continued to fall, her heart torn between the love she felt for Namjoon and the betrayal she couldn’t ignore.
In a moment of raw need and passion, Namjoon closed the distance between them, pulling YN into a fierce, emotional embrace. Their lips crashed together, the kiss a desperate plea for understanding and forgiveness. The kiss quickly became heated, their bodies pressing together with a ferocity that spoke of their unresolved feelings.
Namjoon’s hands roamed YN’s body, his touch both comforting and intense. He guided her to the desk, his kisses becoming more urgent. YN’s hands gripped his shirt, pulling him closer, her need for him as strong as her desire to escape the pain.
Without breaking their kiss, Namjoon’s hands explored YN’s body, his touch both tender and possessive. He lifted her onto the desk, his fingers trailing over her skin with a sense of reverence. YN’s moans were muffled against his lips, her body arching toward him in a mixture of desire and desperation.
Namjoon’s hands moved with purpose, his touch igniting a fire within YN. She responded with equal fervour, her body reacting to his every caress. The desk became a backdrop to their final, passionate encounter, their movements driven by a need to escape the emotional turmoil they faced.
As their bodies moved together, their breaths coming in ragged gasps, YN’s tears mixed with their sweat. The intensity of their connection was undeniable, their final moments together marked by a raw, unfiltered passion.
Namjoon’s thrusts were slow and deliberate, a contrast to the urgency of their earlier actions. He held YN close, his voice a low growl of affection and regret. “YN, I’m sorry. I wish things could be different.”
YN’s response was a mix of gasps and sobs, her body trembling with each movement. “Namjoon, I don’t know what to do. I love you, but this… this is too much.”
Their encounter reached its peak, their bodies trembling with the intensity of their release. The office was filled with the sound of their heavy breaths, their emotions laid bare in the aftermath of their final act of passion.
As they pulled away, the reality of their situation settled over them like a shroud. Namjoon’s expression was one of profound sadness, his eyes filled with regret. YN looked at him, her own emotions a tangled mess of love and pain.
“I think we need to take a step back,” YN said softly, her voice trembling. “I need time to figure out what’s next for me.”
Namjoon nodded, his face etched with sorrow. “I understand. I’ll give you the space you need.”
YN gathered her clothes, her movements slow and deliberate. She looked at Namjoon one last time, her heart heavy with the weight of their final encounter. “Goodbye, Namjoon.”
As she left the office, the echoes of their passionate encounter lingered in her mind, a bittersweet reminder of the love they had shared and the pain that had come with it.
