Emersyn stepped out of the shower, dried off, and dressed quickly before heading into the hallway, where she came face to face with Klaus who was reading a book . She rolled her eyes, exasperated.

"What? Is something wrong, witch?" Klaus asked, his tone tinged with confusion.

“Shut up, your voice is so annoying.”

“Excuse me?”

“You heard me. What, vampire senses not working like they used to? Age catching up to you?”

“I advise you to stop talking.”

“Or what.”

“Or I will gladly demonstrate how to remove someone’s tongue through their abdomen. Very enthusiastically, as well.”

“That…”

“Hm?”

“That is so gross.”

“Indeed. Now, stop talking.”

She swallowed and nodded.

He smiled and went back to his book.

"Well, good morning to you too" Rebekah greeted her with a bright smile.

"Good morning, Rebekah. I see you're still sporting that 1900s wardrobe. You really need to update your look, girl," Emersyn quipped, smirking.

Rebekah laughed, "You know, that's a fantastic idea , Nik!" She called out to her brother.

"What?" Klaus replied still irritated.

"I need new clothes since Gloria is busy at the bar preparing for our 'little session'," Rebekah said, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

"That makes two of us," Emersyn added, folding her arms.

Rebekah and Klaus both turned to her, surprised.

"What? I've been in the same clothes since your deranged brother kidnapped me , I need new ones. Plus, I need to be there so Gloria can break this curse" , Emersyn said as she moved toward the door.

"Not so fast, witch," Klaus warned, stepping in front of her.

"Oh, come on. I'm not going to run. Even if I did, you'd catch me in a second, wouldn't you?".

She rolled her eyes again and sauntered out.

"I like her," Rebekah said, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

Klaus sighed and followed them, his annoyance palpable.

They arrived at a chic boutique.

While Stefan and Klaus waited impatiently, Emersyn and Rebekah perused the racks of clothes.

From the fitting room, Rebekah's voice rang out. "There has to be more to this dress."

"There's not," Klaus replied flatly.

Rebekah emerged from the fitting room in a short, black dress.

"So, women in the 21st century dress like this? I got dirty looks for wearing trousers in my day."

Klaus smirked, "You wore trousers, so women today could wear nothing."

Emersyn stepped out, wearing a white shirt, a black leather jacket, jeans, and high-heeled boots.

She admired her reflection in the mirror. "Now that's more like it."

"I love your outfit," Rebekah complimented.

"Thanks; I like yours too," Emersyn replied.

"Nah. I hate it. And what is this music? It sounds like a cable car accident ," Rebekah complained.
