Selene must have drifted off, because she's waken up up by a tap on her shoulder. She looks up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She smiles at Dorian as she stands up.

"Glad to see you got up, then fell back asleep." Dorian smiles, not sure how comfortable she will be with the drink out of her system. Will she regret telling him what she did?

Selene nods, staring at him. Would he really treat her differently if he knew what Vincent knew? "I slept alright. Better than the night we stopped on the way here." She smiles, not mentioning their previous night. She'd mentioned her parents. She talked about Mark and Beth. It felt nice. However, she'd then dreamt of a similar scenario, with the man trying to kill her, so it's a bit sour to think about.

"Not hungover?" Dorian hums as if to tease her about her state last night.

"Nope, why would I be?" She's still Fae, she'd need a lot more than one little canteen to be drunk enough to where it would stick in her system.

Dorian nodded, exiting her room to check on Vincent.

Selene takes her time to settle her appearance. She's not exactly feeling up to the entire investigating thing today. She would rather keep locked away, alone.

She would enjoy drawing in peace and processing things for a day, maybe a week. This rush isn't a lifestyle she likes. She's not sure how anybody could enjoy having to constantly parade around doing things at a rush.

With a small smile, Selene leaves her room and heads towards the sound of voices coming from the kitchen. There's tension that she's not used to feeling between the two of them. Had they fought? Selene shrugs it off as she tries to find something to eat.

"We're heading out today, right?" Vincent speaks while leaning against a counter bread in hand.

"That's the plan. We said we would look at the victim's place of work, home, that sort of thing." Dorian confirms the Prince's words.

Selene finally dares to look up to that prince with the memory of last night fresh on her mind. It's wrong to keep what they talked about a secret, and yet there's a cocky glint to his eyes.

Selene rushes to look away and back to her plate as she shrugs. "Would we be looking for anything specific?" She would enjoy being told what they were looking for exactly.

"Well, you're the one with the mysteries. Traces of anything that lead back to you or your parents. Obvious enough isn't it?" Vincent speaks to her with a slightly mocking tone. He enjoyed what he had done to her last night. Having her pushed up against the wall with no choice but to answer to him. She's got such an attitude with him, but put her in her place, and she's suddenly flustered with less of an attitude.

Dorian sighs, shaking his head. He takes Vincent's actions to be rude. "Vince, could we do without being an ass for a morning?"

Vincent rolls his eyes as he walks off to finish getting himself ready.

"You can let him be, Captain. He doesn't offend me. He's rude and snobbish." She can take his words and his humor. It just goes to remind her that he's using her for a goal. He said it himself, several times, she's just there to help find this assassin. "When do we head out?"

"Whenever Vincent is ready to head out." Dorian wishes she wouldn't take insults and back-handed comments without an issue. She worries him at times. It's as if she has no real confidence in herself. Or maybe she just doesn't see the point in the world anymore. He wonders which would be more accurate for her.

It takes Vincent nearly an hour to finish getting ready. He doesn't ask if anybody else is ready to head out either. He simply leads his way through the door, expecting the two others to follow. They follow him with a shared glance and a sigh.
