Selene sighs when he leaves. She stands up and stretches. "Gross," she mumbles to herself. She goes to the door and hesitates. The doorknob is iron. She remembers that from exploring. With a sigh, she uses the fabric of her dress to protect her hand. She attempts to open the door, but it's no use. "Course not," Selene huffs.

She glances around the room and decides to go through the drawers of the vanity. She's not searching for anything specific, just looking at what she could use to her advantage at some point. Selene's rummaging proves fruitful as she finds a small pin that looks like it could be sharp. It's all that she finds, but it will do.

Footsteps have her rushing back to the spot he set her in. She stares at the fire so she's not seen as suspicious by her captor.

Alex is awfully silent as he enters the room. He sets the large tray of food on a small coffee table.

Selene glances at the food with an impressed tilt of her head. There's soup, sandwiches, and two brownies with a dollop of whipped cream.

"Put it back where you got it." Alex stands straight, crossing his arms.

Selene watches him innocently.

With a glare, Alex forces her up from the couch and into his chest. He shoves his hands down the front of her dress to pull the pin from between the dress layers. He shoves her back onto the couch. His steps are heavy as he slams the pin onto the vanity. He walks to stand in front of her, with his hands behind his back, glaring down at his doll.

Selene looks around for fae symbols. He had to have used something to spy on her, like a scrying glass. She doesn't get a decent look before she yelps, folding over in pain. She winces when his hands tangle in her hair and roughly shove her to the floor. Her eyes widen as she covers her mouth, arching in the pain that follows.

Alex simply watches his doll jerk on the floor. When he doesn't see tears, he lets her catch her breath and push herself up, only to have her screaming again. "Maybe try begging me to stop. Apologize for the blatant disrespect and for your disobedience. My patience is running thin."

He's always hated seeing her in pain. Back when Alex was a child, he'd wanted to kill their benefactor. He wanted so badly to save Selenetta from that iron-spiked whip that ruined her perfect skin. He wanted to save her from the screams she let out that broke apart her begging.

Only now, he loves the sight. Suppose he understands why their benefactor took the smallest mistake and punished her for it. Her screams are as pretty as her laughter. Her tears make her look so adorable! It may be twisted, but it feels right. His heart squirms with feelings. He missed this. He missed feeling so alive.

Selene curls in on herself the next two times as pain spreads through her veins. The next wave of pain is no longer a shock. It feels like her blood is boiling. She brings her hands to tug at the jewelry. Tears finally seep past her eyes. There's something else loosening in her veins alongside the pain. She can't focus on the sensation with the pain, even if she tries to understand what it is.

"Go on, beg," Alex hisses. He squats in front of her as he waits a moment. When she's silent, he shrugs and has another go. He can make the pain mind-numbing. He was told that it could feel worse than death if used at its full capacity. Magic is an interesting tool when used correctly.

Selene goes from tugging on the jewelry to pulling as screams slip through her lips. She no longer has the decency in mind to stop herself from rolling onto her back and rolling side to side while kicking. When it stops, she pants, trying to make her mouth move.

"Well?" Alex hums, standing just so he can stand with one foot on either side of her. When that doesn't feel right, he lowers himself to sit on her stomach. His hands grab hers, pulling them above her head. "Come on, Doll, you know I hate seeing you in pain~."
