Weeks passed, and the tension between them grew. Jennie's usually stoic demeanor began to show subtle signs of change in Jisoo's presence.

The next case involved Minho, a 14-year-old caught dealing drugs. Jisoo was determined to fight for Minho's rehabilitation, while Jennie wrestled with her decision. The courtroom felt like a pressure cooker.

Jisoo's plea was heartfelt. "Minho deserves a chance to turn his life around."

Jennie struggled, her internal conflict mirrored in her wavering gaze. Eventually, she opted for a more lenient sentence, choosing supervised rehabilitation.

Later, Jisoo found Jennie alone in her chambers, the air thick with unresolved tension.

Their arguments in court were intense, but so was the growing pull between them. Jennie found herself watching Jisoo more closely, noticing the way her eyes sparkled with determination, the way she fought for her clients with unwavering passion.

Jisoo, in turn, couldn't stop thinking about Jennie—her cold composure, the way she seemed untouchable, and yet, every now and then, Jisoo caught a glimpse of something softer behind those steely eyes.

She didn't expect Jennie to show up at her office, but there she was, standing in the doorway.

"Still trying to save the world, Jisoo?" Jennie asked, her voice quieter than usual.

Jisoo looked up, surprised but unable to hide the frustration in her tone. "Someone has to when you're handing out sentences like you're sending kids to their deaths."

Jennie's expression hardened, but her eyes betrayed her, flickering with something Jisoo couldn't quite read. "You think you can change them all, don't you?"

Jisoo stood, closing the distance between them. "Not all of them, Jennie. But some. And sometimes, that's enough."

Their eyes locked, the space between them charged with something neither was ready to admit. The air felt heavy, electric, like something was about to snap. Jennie's breath hitched. Jisoo stood there, heart racing, wondering how long they could keep pretending this tension was only professional.

"You don't always have to be the villain, Jennie," Jisoo said softly,

. "I'm not the villain," Jennie replied, but her voice lacked its usual certainty.

"Then stop acting like it," Jisoo whispered, so close now that Jennie could feel the warmth of her breath. There was a moment—a charged, dangerous moment where everything could change

"Don't confuse passion with weakness," Jennie said

"You were too harsh initially," Jisoo said softly. "He needed more compassion."

Jennie's composure slipped as she looked at Jisoo. "It's hard to change long-held beliefs."

"You don't have to face this alone,"Jisoo said, her heart racing, reached out and took Jennie's hand.

Jennie," Jisoo whispered, her voice low, almost breathless.

Jennie's walls finally shattered. Without thinking, she closed the distance between them, capturing Jisoo's lips in a desperate, heated kiss. The room around them seemed to disappear, the only thing that mattered was the overwhelming pull between them. Jennie's hands tangled in Jisoo's hair, the kiss deepening with every second, as if all the tension of the past weeks had finally found its release.

When they finally pulled apart, both breathless, Jennie rested her forehead against Jisoo's, her voice barely a whisper. "I've spent so long trying not to feel..."

Jisoo's hand gently cupped Jennie's cheek. "You don't have to be afraid anymore."

The moment was both intense and tender, a culmination of their growing feelings for each other.

Their eyes locked, filled with unspoken emotions. Jennie hesitated but then gently pulled Jisoo into a heartfelt embrace, their closeness highlighting their mutual vulnerability.
