Jisoo arrived at Jennie’s apartment, nerves bubbling in her stomach. She stood outside the door for a moment, taking a deep breath before knocking lightly.

A few seconds later, the door opened, revealing Jennie in casual clothes—an oversized sweater and shorts, her hair loosely tied up. The sight of Jennie outside her usual stern, polished appearance made Jisoo’s heart skip a beat.

“Hey,” Jennie greeted with a soft smile, stepping aside to let Jisoo in. “I’m glad you came.”

Jisoo returned the smile, her nerves easing a bit. “Wouldn’t miss it.”

Jennie led her inside, the apartment warm and cozy. The soft aroma of something cooking filled the air, and Jisoo couldn’t help but feel a little more at ease. Jennie wasn’t just the intimidating judge she faced in court—here, she was more relaxed, more open.

“I hope you like pasta,” Jennie said, heading into the kitchen. “It’s the only thing I know how to make.”

Jisoo laughed, following her. “Pasta’s perfect.”

As they settled into dinner, the conversation flowed easily. They talked about work, shared stories about their day, and even teased each other about their courtroom clashes. But underneath the light banter, there was an unspoken tension—something more that neither of them had addressed yet.

After dinner, Jennie poured them both a glass of wine, and they moved to the couch. The atmosphere shifted as they sat closer, the soft glow of the lamps casting a warm light over them.

Jennie set her glass down and looked at Jisoo, her expression serious. “You know... I’ve been thinking a lot lately.”

Jisoo raised an eyebrow, her heart starting to race again. “About what?”

Jennie hesitated for a moment, then met Jisoo’s gaze. “About us. About... what’s happening between us.”

Jisoo’s breath caught in her throat, the moment feeling more real now. She had been waiting for Jennie to say something, but hearing it aloud made her heart pound in her chest.

“I’m not usually good at this,” Jennie continued, her voice softer now. “But I can’t keep pretending that I don’t feel something for you. You drive me crazy, Jisoo. In the courtroom, outside of it... I’m always thinking about you.”

Jisoo swallowed, her pulse quickening. “Jennie, I... I feel the same way. I’ve been thinking about you, too. More than I should.”

Jennie’s lips curved into a small smile, relief flashing in her eyes. “I didn’t want to make things complicated, but... I can’t ignore it anymore. I want to see where this goes. If you’re willing.”

Jisoo’s heart swelled, a sense of warmth spreading through her. She reached out, taking Jennie’s hand, their fingers intertwining. “I’m willing. I want that, too.”

Jennie’s smile widened, and for a moment, everything felt perfect. The tension that had been simmering between them for so long finally gave way to something deeper, something real.

Jennie leaned in closer, her voice soft but filled with intent. “You know, I’ve been waiting for this moment for a while after what happened in your office I was so anticipated,I wanted more of you.”

Jisoo’s breath hitched, her pulse racing as Jennie closed the gap between them. Their lips met in a soft, lingering kiss, the weight of their feelings pouring into the simple gesture. It was tender, yet filled with all the unspoken desire they had both been holding back.

When they finally pulled away, Jennie rested her forehead against Jisoo’s, their breaths mingling.

“This is just the beginning,” Jennie whispered.

Jisoo smiled, her heart full. “I’m looking forward to it.”
