As they turned the corner to Taehyung's street, Taehyung's hand brushed against his. Jungkook's heart skipped a beat. Was this a sign? A silent declaration of something more than friendship? He didn't dare to hope, but the thought lingered in his mind.

Taehyung's house was a three storey building with a vibrant mural painted on the side, a stark contrast to the rest of the neighborhood. The vivid colors and bold strokes reminded Jungkook of Taehyung's artistic spirit. As they approached, Jungkook felt his stomach flip. What would happen when they were alone? Would Taehyung bring up the conversation from lunch again?

The door opened before Taehyung could even unlock it. A burst of laughter and the smell of something sweet wafted out. Jungkook's eyes widened as Taehyung's little brother, Yeonjun, barreled into them. He was only ten but had the same mischievous spark in his eyes as Taehyung. "Hyung!" he exclaimed, throwing his arms around Taehyung's waist. "You're home early today!"

"Yeah I am," Taehyung said, ruffling Yeonjun's hair. Jungkook couldn't help but smile at their interaction. It was clear that despite Taehyung's tough exterior, he had a soft spot for his little brother. Yeonjun stuck his tongue out in response but didn't let go.

As they stepped inside, the sound of barking grew louder. Bam, their Doberman, and Yeontan, the fluffiest Pomeranian Jungkook had ever seen, came barreling down the hallway towards them. Bam's tail wagged a mile a minute, his eyes full of excitement as he recognized his owner. Yeontan, on the other hand, took one look at Jungkook and immediately took a liking to him, jumping up and down and trying to lick his face.

Taehyung chuckled, "Looks like someone's found a new best friend," he said, ruffling Yeontan's fur. Jungkook couldn't help but laugh as the small dog continued to shower him with affection. The moment was so normal, so domestic, that Jungkook found himself wishing he could be a part of it all the time.

"Where's mama?" Taehyung asked Yeonjun as he stepped into the living room, gently removing Yeontan from Jungkook's face. The room was a cluttered mess of art supplies and dog toys, a stark contrast to the pristine exterior of the house.

"Out with her friends," Yeonjun said, his voice muffled by Taehyung's shirt. "But she said to expect you early to make sure I behave." He looked up at Jungkook with a mischievous grin. "Who is he, hyung?"

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "He's just a friend from school," he said, leading Jungkook to the kitchen. "Do you want anything to drink?"

Jungkook nodded, his eyes taking in the colorful chaos of the living room. "Some water would be great," he said, his voice a little overwhelmed. Taehyung disappeared into the kitchen, and Jungkook could hear the clinking of glasses. The house was a reflection of Taehyung's personality. Vibrant, unpredictable, and full of life.

When Taehyung returned with two glasses of water, Jungkook was sitting on the floor playing with Yeontan, who had settled down in his lap. "You're a natural," Taehyung said, a soft smile playing on his lips as he handed Jungkook his water. Jungkook felt his heart race again. Was Taehyung flirting with him? Or was he just being friendly?

"Let's go to my room," Taehyung said after a while, and Jungkook's heart skipped a beat. He followed Taehyung up the stairs, his eyes glancing at the art-covered walls.

Taehyung's room was a sanctuary of creativity. Sketchbooks and paint tubes littered the floor, and clothes were strewn over every surface. The bed was unmade, but it was the large sewing machine in the corner that drew Jungkook's attention.

"I'm not going to apologize for my room being messy," Taehyung said, catching Jungkook's gaze on the untidy space. He kicked a pile of clothes out of the way, making a path to the sewing machine. "I'm more of a 'creative chaos' kind of person." Jungkook nodded, taking in the vibrant energy of the room. It was like stepping into a different world, one that was all Taehyung.
