"There." We had just finished putting the final nail in the tree house and were relieved that it was finished. Us triplets and James had been working on it for about a week now and were ready for it to be finished. The tree house was located halfway between both houses. As content as I was to lay in the tree house with James by my side and the twins laughing down below as they finished the rope ladder, us triplets had to get going. We had a magic show to perform. More specifically, the one we performed every Saturday. You see, ever since we were five and I had started practicing magic, Fred, George, and I went to King's Cross Station every Saturday to perform muggle magic. As I stood to walk out the door, I was interrupted by a question,"Can I go with you?" I don't know why this question surprised me so much. I mean, I'd been teaching James muggle magic for weeks; it only made sense he'd want to tag along. With a smile on my face, I told him he better have a magic name before we reached the ground. "Lynx," my triplets shared a weird look. "Lynx," I repeated, then paused. I looked at my triplets for a few seconds before saying, "Perfect." I walked over to Fred and grabbed his hand, signaling for James to grab my other hand. Once he did, I explained to him what we did to get to King's Cross. "First, picture the place right beside the pillar we run through to get to platform 9 3⁄4. Then just think really hard about going there when we say one." With that, the countdown began, "3 2 1." At that moment, we all closed our eyes and focused. There was a weird tugging sensation and then I opened my eyes. Immediately I saw that we all had made it to King's Cross safely. Us triplets ran about in a flurry of motion, getting everything from the magic trunk setup. "Get over here!" I yelled at James, who, for his part, had just been watching us set up. We all donned our top hats with red ribbon, causing us to look like stereotypical magicians: a top hat, black pants, and a black shirt. I told James the plan, and with a nod of understanding from him, I started the show. "ATTENTION EVERYBODY," I yelled as loud as I could," My name is Starry, and I'm here to do some magic for you guys, but please don't miss your train while you are watching. Sure, I can pull a cat out of a hat." With that, I took my hat off my head and stuck my hand in. I proceeded to pull out a stuffed turtle,"oops," a stuffed parrot,"not quite," and finally I pulled out a living orange cat with black squares around its eyes. I passed it off to a little boy with black hair and bright green eyes. "Like I said, I can pull a cat out of a hat, but I don't know that I could magic you onto your train." I paused to let them laugh. "Now that you guys know me, it's time for you to meet my crew. This is Shadow," I say, pointing at George, "he is the best at making not only things but also himself disappear." he then made a coin disappear and reappear behind a random person's ear. At this point, I saw that most of the crowd was smiling and laughing. Pointing at Fred, I continued with the introductions, "This is Red named because of his great joy in fire." He snapped his fingers, and a flame appeared in the middle of the air. Finally, I had gotten to James. "Lastly, and maybe leastley," I say with a wink, "This is Lynx, our newest member. This is his first performance, so be nice to him. He is the quickest in the crew and the comedic relief. I just simply don't know what we'd do without him." After this, everyone laughed. I took a step back so I was in a line with the rest of the crew and threw my arm around George and James's shoulders. "Let's get on with the show!" By the time we were done performing, most of the train station was laughing so hard they were in tears. I turned to James laughing and asked if he had had a good time. He stood there blankly for a second, but when the question clicked, he nodded with a huge smile, telling me that he wished he had come sooner. That night we showed up at home late, deciding that we should celebrate Lynx's first successful show. We were laughing as we walked into the Burrow, elated because of how our show had gone. Despite playing him off as only being there for comedy, Lynx, or James, proved himself to be quite the magician. His tricks had room for improvement, but the way he presented them and talked through them still kept everyone impressed and entertained by what he was doing. When we entered the Burrow, Molly was standing in the kitchen waiting for us. I had never been afraid of Molly, but most people were, including the others in my triplet. Curious how James would react, I decided to get the ball rolling. "Hey mom, sorry we are late. I'm going to head upstairs." "Rose Rey Weasley! Don't take that tone with me. I know you were a part of this." Rolling my eyes, a reckless move even for me, I ventured back to the kitchen. "Something I can help you with, mom," I said with sarcastic cheer. "First? Get rid of your attitude and then tell me what happened." "We just put on a little muggle magic show. It's nothing." "It's nothing, nothing, she says; what if they find out we're wizards?" I love Molly and all, but she can be a bit overwhelming. We tend to butt heads. That's why it makes sense that Fred tried to step in. "I'm sure that's not what she meant. She was just trying to say," George picked up where he left off, "That we were being very careful and..." "We didn't actually use magic; it's just illusions," finished James. "And you three, you thought you could get out of this! Do you know how worried I was when you weren't here or at James's? I thought the worst. What if you lot had died! I don't know what I'd do. How would I tell Mary and Albert? To your rooms now! You too, James, go to the triplets room." And with one last glare, she sent us off. This was James's first time staying the night, and all because of a punishment. "Where is he going to sleep?" "With you, Rose," my brothers said in unison. "We sure aren't sleeping in the same bed." "I hate you guys," I say, flopping down on my bed and rolling over to make room for James. It made sense; we are best friends after all. James laid down next to me and mumbled in my ear, "How mad will your mom be?" "No one knows. I think she gave up on controlling me a long time ago." One minute later, we were all asleep. The next morning I woke up forgetting that James was next to me and groaned to myself. "What's wrong?" "Nothing, James; I just don't want to move." "Well, you better have your arse out of bed in thirty seconds or I'm killing the both of you!" It turns out my mom would be very mad.
