Chapter 1....
It finally came after so long, a sunny afternoon. The sunrays shone on the people of Kolkata bringing new hope and oblivious happiness. Wherever the sunshine fell there was positivity. The gloomy days were over just like the hardships and sometimes come out of the blue. The bright rays were like a blessing for everyone.
It seemed like most of the sunlight was focused upon the office of Dreamers foundation. It was a small NGO working for the welfare of orphans. The office room was filled with cheerful enthusiasts, celebrating the big news. They were gathered around near one of the most famous female lawyer in the entire Bengal. She was young organisation's co- founder and also their chief executive director. A beautiful, optimistic and tender hearted young lad, who looked younger than her twenty five years.
"Bondita ma'am congratulations! This is a very big thing for us. Now we can expand our areas and help more children in need."
"I know!!!! Finally all our hardwork has borne fruit. I cant simply explain how happy I am. " said bondita, excitement and happiness evident in her voice. The team congratulated eachother. The dreamers foundation was started by five young enthusiasts, who believed to make a better place. With that ideology they had started this organization to help those underprivileged souls.
"But now we have more responsibility upon us. So we should make sure we work more hard." Bondita declared to everyone.
"Oh ho bondita!! You always talk about work. I mean I know, but cant we just celebrate for a while!!" someone said from the small crowd.
" Yeah fine. I was just trying to give you guys some motivation. But it seems like you all are more interested in fancy alcohol" bondita taunted but they knew she was just acting. They gave her pleading eyes. " Fine!! I'll take you guys to The Royals club at 10" bondita announced.

"BONDU!!!! OMG im so happy for u. CONGRATUALATIONS!" sampoorna screamed from the inside of her phone. Sampoorna was a friend of bondita since childhood and they were inseparable since. Sampoorna was not as rich as bondita, but she never made sampoorna feel bad about it.
"I know I know" a chuckle left bondita's mouth.
"Uhmm.... So..." sampoorna said stretching her voice.
"So?" she replied acting confused.
"Dont play games now! You know what Im talking about!" sampoorna replied nervously.
"Yeah I know what u want. Meet me at royals club at 10 sharp. "She said.
"Okay!" sampoorna replied excitedly and hung up.
Bondita kept her phone aside and looked out of the window of her car. The sun was hidden behind the clouds and the sky turned a little darker. How strange! The sun had finally appeared after a long time but was covered by the clouds again. But the weather was the least thing she was worried about. She couldnt wait to get home and tell everyone about the big news. It was the biggest opportunity she ever had. One step closer to her dream. Her parents' dream. Their dream.

The das haveli, kolkata
Soon bondita reachedher home THE DAS HAVELI. The haveli stood majestically amidst lush gardens andmanicured lawns, adorned with intricate terracotta carvings and ornate wooden balconies.Just like what u would expect a traditional Bengali haveli to be. At the footof the ancient haveli was a massive arched doorway, embellished with elaboratelycarved wooden frames, which served as the main entrance to the haveli. Above itwere intricately designed jharokhas offering a glimpse of the luxury within.
But along with the shine and brightness on the outside of the ancient haveli came those memories. Memories of her parents. She had learned to live with them without being disheartened now. This was the place bondita lived since she could walk on her own feet. She loved this place, where she had those beautiful memories of her parents which she would cherish all her life. As she stepped towards the front gate the sky grew darker and darker. Though she didn't take any notice of her surroundings. How could she? She couldn't think of anything right now. She just hoped they would be proud of her. Her kaka kaki who raised her after she became an orphan on that dark night.
"Kaka! Kaki! Where is everyone? ......oh you're here." Bondita said as she spot her kaka kaki in the lavish living area.
They were seated on a plush, L-shaped sofa covered with luxurious silky fabric. The pillows kept there, were enriched in vibrant colors and intricate patterns which added a pop of color and texture to the space. In the center of the room was a sleek coffee table crafted from rich, dark wood. Surrounding the coffee table were low, cushioned stools providing additional seating or serving as footrests.
Adorning the walls ofthe living room were the framed artwork and photographs filled with the photosof the small family within. Bondita had also made a small place among thesedescriptions of a happy family. Accompanying them were traditional folk artpaintings, intricate kantha tapestries, and photographs of iconic Bengali landmarksto add personality and warmth to the space.
" Kaka kaki, tupur tapur, I have something to tell you!!!" bondita shouted in excitement.
"Stop shouting, bondita we can hear you. Besides we also need to talk to u about something IMPORTANT." her kaki said in a serious tone. By this time her two lovely cousin sisters, Tupur and Tapur had also came down by hearing her voice.
" Tell us didi. What is it that you are so happy today." Curiosity reflected in Tapur's voice.
" U know how we were struggling with donations for the NGO. Someone had noticed our work and suddenly we got a huge donation !!! Now most of are difficulties are gone. Soon we would be able to cover the whole of Bengal and help many more innocent lives!!!" bondita said hardly being able to breathe from all the happiness.
" That's great bondita!! Im so happy for u congratulations." Tupur replied with pure feelings of joy for her sister. " Me too! Congratulations didi!!" tapur chirped in.
" Thank you! You cant even imagine how happy I am."
Her kaka who was unfazed as if in deep thoughts smiled at her and said " Congratulations beta. But we need to talk to u about something. Its very important."
" Ji kaka boliye" bondita replied as the dark clouds grew even darker and crowded the sky.
Her kaka seemed to hesitate. He tried to speak but the words didn't leave his mouth. So instead her kaki spoke." Bondita we have arranged your marriage to sourabh banerjee, the heir of banerjee industries."
Everyone went quiet as the sky got completely dark. After a long silence she finally spoke "NO".
