Even though the first encounter included a small appearance by two more Alters and Yunjin thought she would have more interaction with them, she was wrong.
Yunjin was coming to the conclusion that Chaewon and her Alters could live a normal life without major issues, (and what was more frightening) without anyone noticing the difference in personalities.
And that was a very boring conclusion for her work, and every time she remembered it, she got in a bad mood.
She (and her professor, Mr. Choi, the one who had suggested she study DID and live with Chaewon) wanted an interesting project that would show the conflicts of each personality, the problems they faced in maintaining a life...
Yunjin wanted to see bad things but wasn't finding anything.
Most of the time, it was Chaewon, a somewhat quiet, shy, and quite clumsy but very adorable girl.
But Yunjin was sure there were moments, which she didn't notice, when another personality was taking control.
Occasionally, another personality would intervene with a comment or sometimes not even that, but with actions that went unnoticed.
For example, in the mornings, her roommate would make herself a black coffee, no sugar and very dark, to drink in silence while using her phone.
Yunjin believed it was Chaewon because there was no visible difference.
- Ugh, this is awful - said the black-haired girl, with a grimace of pure disgust after taking a sip, having already drunk more than half the cup, and went straight to dump the coffee into the kitchen sink.
- You drink it every day. What happened this time?
- I don't drink it, Michelle likes it. Black coffee is horrible and strong - she opened the fridge to get a carton of banana milk to wash away the taste.
Yunjin laughed a little.
- And did she leave it for you to drink? How mean.
- No, sometimes we don't control the switches - she shrugged -. I'll go to the bakery to buy some cupcakes. Do you want anything?
- Hmm... I don't know what they have. I've never been. What if I come with you?
- Sure - she said, smiling slightly, looking adorable with her cheeks slightly flushed.
Perfectly dressed for the early autumn chill, they left the university grounds to head to the bakery a few minutes away.
- And Chaewonie? - The black-haired girl was surprised by the nickname -. Tell me something about you. What music do you like?
- Well... I listen to a lot of English pop, although lately I've been liking ballads and more alternative music. What about you, Unnie?
- I listen to a lot of K-pop. I also enjoy instrumental bands; they're very relaxing.
- Oh, when I was younger, I was part of one of those bands - she said. - Well, not me, it was someone else. I... I don't remember anything, but I've seen photos and been told I did.
Yunjin laughed a bit. Chaewon seemed a bit nervous, evident from her rapid speaking.
- Hey, it's okay. What did you play?
- The cello - she replied -. I don't know how to play it, but it's not very difficult. Plus, it's very pretty because it's so big.
"You like to play with big things," said Michelle, and Yunjin heard Chaechae's giggle in her head.
Chaewon felt a great embarrassment and her feet became clumsy, stumbling over a crack in the sidewalk. Yunjin caught her before she fell.
- Hey, are you okay? - she asked, holding back a laugh.
