Chapter 5 : Betrayed

San were shocked by Jihoon's sudden appearance behind the wall of one of the huge buildings behind him. Unable to find an answer or come back, San began to shake uncontrollably as he began to feel how fear and fright spread through his mind and body.

"Aww, is the little gay boy shaking in his pants?" Jihoon laughed at San, whom just stood, unable to move or say anything.
"I.. I.." he stuttered as he watched as Jihoon made his way over towards him.

A gloomy, stern gaze wandered upon Jihoon's face as he narrowed his eyes and spoke, "do not worry, your little secret will be hidden and I won't say anything... yet." He smirked devilishly as he placed his hand above San's chest and pushed him harshly, making him stumble backwards.

Tears began to build up in San's eyes as he peeked up at Jihoon, who stood right in front of him. His smirk widened as he felt much bigger than San now, he kneeled down in front of him and grabbed onto his collar and spoke, "do not believe those sweet and caring words that Seonghwa had been spoken, cuz he had said all the same heartbeating words to many of the girls, before he rejected them.. they were all a toy for him, do you believe that you are any different, hm?"

Jihoon felt amused by San's expression and aggressively lets go of him, "just wait and see.. before you know it, you will end up like all the girls that he had been toying with.. heartbroken, and I truly can't wait to see the show." His smirk slowly disappeared as he looked coldly down at San before he took his leave.

San sat there, in silence and lonely. He refused to believe any of Jihoon's words and warning, he believed that Seonghwa were feeling the differ of him, but an small part of him were now in doubt.. could it really be true? Were he only just a toy for him as well?
"No.." he shook his head and got up from the ground before he headed back home.

As the day slowly passed and an new day approached, San left early today. As he made his way down towards the school's property, he began to feel somehow weird as if something were up.

He decided to shake all the negative thoughts to off and just continue walking like if nothing had happened, but as he slowly began to approach the yard where the students were standing, he felt strange as they were all looking at him with a weird and disgusted gaze.

He gulped hard as he passed by them, only to hear their small gossiping while their gazes followed him until he entered the school.

Unexpectedly he were met by Seonghwa and his gang there stood by the lockers, the students around them asked curiously Seonghwa if all this were true about him and San being in an secret relationship. Seonghwa knew that he had to put on an hurtful lie, just in case to protect San from being bullied even more.

Seonghwa smirked as he leaned back up against the lockers and shook his head, "are you stupid or something? Do I look like someone who would ever date an boy, uh? Heh, you might be right that I have been close to him, yes, but for me, he is just like any other of the sluts I have been with.. only a toy, so why would I-" without noticing San standing there, he suddenly heard the heavy thud of San's backpack falling to the floor.

They all were looking over at his direction, Seonghwa were left in shock as he didn't expected San to arrive this early. Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked at all the students, until his eyes fell back on Seonghwa, who froze on his spot.
Without any words, San turned around and ran out of the school, while he let his tears fall like a never ending waterfall down his cheeks.

Seonghwa gulped hard as he felt a sharp sting in his heart. He knew that he had not only lied to the rest of the students, but he had also hurt San, by betraying him.
His heart skipped a beat as he felt the stares of the students back on him, waiting for his response..

"Seems like the little gay boy actually had some deep feelings for you, bro? Heh, but I guess that won't be happening now when you already had made it all clear.." Jihoon appeared in front of them while he spoke provocatively. Seonghwa gritted his teeths and aggressively grabbed onto Jihoon's collar, "what the fuck have you said to him, uh?"

Jihoon's smirk widened as he grabbed onto Seonghwa's wrist and spoke, "the truth.." unable to hold back his actions, Seonghwa let his emotions take control of his actions. He clenched his fist before he harshly punched Jihoon in the face.

"So it were all an lie, uh? You have feelings for that little nerdy gay boy?" Jihoon asked as he looked up at Seonghwa from the floor where he had fallen after the punch.

Seonghwa growled and spoke, "mind your own business, asshole!" He spits as he looked down at Jihoon. He slightly turned around on his heels and were about to leave to follow San, but got stopped once again by Jihoon who spoke, "you better hurry after your little gay boyfriend.. before he might do something unexpected?" Seonghwa felt how his blood began to boil in anger and turned his attention back at Jihoon...

He went over and kicked him in the stomach before he once again turned around and left the school in an hurry, cuz he were frightened that San surely might do something bad.

After leaving the school, San ran without having any destination. Without noticing it, he ended up at the bridge where Seonghwa once had bought him, the same place where he confessed his love for him.

"I should have known.." he silently mumbled for himself as he looked down at his pale hands. He lets out a few tiny sobs and wrapped his arms around himself, while he just let his tears fall non-stop, "how.. how could I be this stupid?" He silently stuttered as he shook his head.

San slowly fell down on his knees and leaned up against the stone wall of the bridge, just listening to the running water beneath him, together with his sobs there slipped through his mouth.

After San left, Seonghwa had been slowly sneaking away from the school in case to find him without getting noticed by the others.

He ran down through the path, looking for San. He slowly began to become afraid and insecure as he for an hour haven't found him. He tried at all those spots where he had spotted him before they started dating and after as well, but he were just nowhere to be seen, "where are you?" He silently whispered for himself, when suddenly the last place he could think of came in his mind and he immediately ran of..

Soon he were able to find San sitting against the bridge, slightly sobbing while he wiped his tears away with the back of his hand.

San noticed his presence and looked up to get eye contact with him, but immediately looked back down on his wet hands, "leave me alone.." he muttered under his breath as he just let his gaze wander off, not paying any attention to Seonghwa.

Feeling a lump getting stuck in his throat and a painful sting in his heart, Seonghwa slowly made his way over to San and kneeled down beside him, "..San..I'm sorry." He whispered as he reached out to hold his cheek, but San slapped his hand away from him, "...leave!" He yelled at him, "as you said, I'm just another toy for you, just like the girls whom you have broken completely, by your fake love." He stuttered in between his words he spoke.

"I didn't meant any of those words and you should know that, I care for you San.. I just.. I said all those painful words to protect you." San tilted his head confusedly, but simply shook his head afterwards and spoke, "if you cared so much for me, then you wouldn't have lied and betrayed me with your 'fake love', if you don't want to be with me, then just tell me in person and not humiliate me more than I already am!" He sobbed loudly as his buried his face down in his palms.

Seonghwa exhaled heavily before he slightly opened his mouth to speak, "I didn't meant to ever do so.. I love you, I love you so badly, but I were just afraid that Jihoon and the rest of the students might find out, therefore I decided to tell them in that way, I never meant any of those words.. believe me, I really didn't!" He reached to hold his hand, but San just snatched his hand away from him.

He took a deep breath before he looked back up at Seonghwa and spoke, "why does it even matter to lie, when Jihoon already knows?" Seonghwa were taken aback as he looked confused at him, "w-what do you mean, Sannie?" He gulped hard before he continued, "that day where we parted down by the alleyway, after you left and were out of sight, Jihoon sneaked up on me and.. yeah, he found out.. he must have been following us, but that still doesn't change the fact that you not only have broken my heart and trust, but also have betrayed me badly.."
