𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

I woke up from my peaceful nap. Even though it was short, at least I could sleep.

I get up and walk to the bathroom to take a shower. Not even looking at Phuwin who was still sleeping. It's not that I'm bored of him or I hate him. It's because I was still mad at him.

"Do you want me to drop you off?" The half-asleep Phuwin said as I step out of the bathroom.

"No thanks" I say, "I can walk or take the bus" I continue as he sighed, completely aware of the fact that I was still mad at him.

"Don't be mad" He whined but I just ignore him and go downstairs to make breakfast.

Thankfully, there was nothing in the table. I make breakfast in peace and go to school, still ignoring Phuwin.

Three Days Later

Finally, after two days of ignoring him, I rest my head on his chest and deeply inhale his scent, finding warmth in his arms.

"I'll miss you" I mumble

"I'll miss you too" He said and gently strokes my hairs.

"You'll have leave in 10 minutes, right? Come one, I'll help you to check the last minutes things."  I say as I get up from the comfortable cuddle and get out of bed.

After hugging him goodbye, I sit on the couch and realization hits me. I'm alone. And this time, not only for the night, for 2 whole months.

But it's ok. We got 2 whole months to have fun

That man's voice echoed in my head and I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

A sudden phone call interrupted me and I pick it up to see that Ohm called me.

"Hello" I greet

"Hey! Are you free? We gotta interview Nueng, remember?" He said and I jump up from the couch

"Oh yess!! Wait I'll get ready."

"Ok and I'm coming to pick you up. Be ready in 10" Ohm says and I agree before hanging up the phone.

The interview distracts my mind from everything else. I get ready and wait for Ohm to come.

After waiting for 5 minutes, I hear Ohm's car in the driveway.

"Hey!" He greets as I enter the car

"Hey!"

"One thing before we go and interview Neung. Where is he studying medical?"

"Oh shit!! We forgot to ask that...Ok let's not panic, Ok? Ummm....Let's start with
Chulalongkorn University." I say and he nods before starting the car.

As we head towards Chula university, I was thinking of an excuse to get into the university.

We finally arrive and get down and with sweaty hands, we walk towards the gate. But obviously, the guard stops us.

"Who are you?" He asks

"We are Nueng's brother....We came to give him lunch...." I say but the guard simply just shakes his head

"You can't get in. I'm sorry" The guard says and we try to reason with him but fail.

At last, I take out some cash and hand it over to the guard.

He looks at the cash hesitantly before returning

"Can't do that. Sorry. You have to wait until classes are over" The guard said and with no other option left, we go back to the car.

"Failed attempt!" Ohm sighs and I reach for my pocket to get some gum when a note and eraser falls out. It was Ploy's note

I reach out to take and notice something. Immediately, I put the gum back and start to erase the back of the note while Ohm looks at me in confusion.

"What are you doing?" He asks.

"Wait...Done" I take the note and hang it in the air, infront of the sun.

Some numbers along with their names  appear.

"God loves us" Ohm says and I just smile while looking at Nueng's number.

In the late afternoon, when all universities were over, we call Nueng and invite him to have a drink with us. Obviously I had to tell him that I was Ploy's cousin otherwise, he wouldn't have come.

After waiting for 15 minutes, he finally arrived. He fixed his glasses and looked at me while I form my hand in a wai.

"You are..." He pauses

"Fourth" I continue for him.

"Fourth. So, Fourth, why did you wanna meet?" He asks as we sit down

"As you already know, I am Ploy's cousin. I just wanna..know about Ploy. Like her social life, friends and lover. You know, she was an introvert." I nervously said and he narrows his eyes before saying,

"Since you know me, I am guessing that you probably know her other friends. I'll tell you about her boyfriend, AJ, who unfortunately died after Ploy died. They say that AJ committed suicide in the middle of a forest because he couldn't bear the fact that his girlfriend died. But....it was never confirmed. The case of both Ploy's murder and AJ's suicide was never confirmed. They found AJ's body as a result, his case was over. But, in 2020, the police closed the case of Ploy's murder since her body was never found and they never catched the murderer. Now, some people think that Ploy is dead, some people think that Ploy is still alive. She is just missing. And some people- Almost all the persons forgot about it. They let it go just like how the police let that case go."
He lowered his head as he spoke.

"Do you know anything about AJ?" Ohm asks Neung.

"Umm, not really..."

"Anything about their relationship is fine" I say and he thinks for a minute before saying,

"Ummm..as long as I remember, Ploy broke up with her ex-boyfriend for AJ. That's all I know. I know, it's not much" He says and I narrow my eyes

"Ex boyfriend? Do you know who?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"No, but his name starts with either P or  T. " He says and I nod my head

"Thank you so much for your time Nueng" I thank him as we get up and shake his hands

"My pleasure. Hope to see you soon" He smiles

We get out of the cafe and into the car.

"Well...we got some information" Ohm says as he starts the car.

"Mhmm. Turn on the radio"  We happily go back to my house as he insisted to drop me off. I was enjoying the car ride, unaware of what is going to happen once I go back home. But I don't care. Phuwin is not home, so no one is going to stop me from drinking a bit.

I take the whiskey bottle from the bag in the back sit and drink a bit, not wanting to get too much drunk.
