(13) "You make me feel hotter than fire."
[One week later]
Yesuel was sitting on the kitchen counter while muching on a piece of chocolate after eating her dinner, when she heard an abrupt sound of her phone ringing from the bedroom. The voice echoed throughout the house which scared Yesuel and gave her chills due to the chilly weather.
She quickly climbed down from the counter and did a little trot towards her bedroom. She searched for her phone among the huge pile of unfolded laundry which she was supposed to fold.
She picked up her phone and glanced at the contact name which said, "Birthgiver (female)". She picked up the call and put the phone near her ear.
"Yesuel?", a voice from the other side called curiously, obviously that of Yesuel's mother.
"Yes, mum?", Yesuel said nonchalantly.
"How are you doing, child? Are you eating your food on time? Are there any problems?", Hyebin asked.
"I'm fine, mum. I have arranged my house and made a few friends here-and I just ate before you called.", Yesuel said calmly, happy to talk to her mother after a hectic day.
"Did you find a boy? Remember I told you to find a boy till you turn twenty-seven.", Hyebin asked teasingly.
"I do have.", Yesuel replied cockily while fidgeting around.
"Who is he? Seeing your choices, it doesn't seem you would have found a nice boy.", Hyebin remarked.
"Mum! What do you mean?", Yesuel whined. "Though, he isn't my boyfriend, he asked me out on a date and took me to the beach. And I for sure know, that he's a nice guy. "
"We'll see.", Hyebin replied with a little smile. "Anyways, talk to Hyunjoo. She's been dying to talk to you.", Hyebin said before handing the phone to Hyunjoo.
Uh, yeah, that. Yesuel blocked Hyunjoo's number because she was annoying her. She never unblocked her number after that.
"Yeah."
"Yesuel?", Hyunjoo asked.
"Yo, violent animal. How are you?", Yesuel asked Hyunjoo, calling her a nickname she had given Hyunjoo many years ago.
"When will you stop calling me that?", Hyunjoo groaned, irritated by the name.
"What do you expect me to call a violent animal then? A human!", Yesuel remarked while having a hearty laugh after which Hyunjoo laughed too.
