Surfing seemed like a good idea in theory, but to Percy, anything seemed appealing as a way to escape. He desperately needed some time to himself. His dreams about the war were becoming more frequent and intense, and perhaps Annabeth's rejection had only exacerbated this state of turmoil. Percy felt confused as he realized that something was developing between them, something he hadn't had a chance to fully explore or understand.

There was a natural, fluid connection between them, as if their strengths and weaknesses fit together perfectly, creating a kind of harmony that at the same time felt unstable. To Percy, it was like building sandcastles by the sea. He felt like what was between him and Annabeth was being molded into something vulnerable, unable to hold together and yet too solid to ever completely fall apart.

As they stood together, it felt like something was building and falling apart at the same time. It was as if they were trying to build something meaningful, but with the constant awareness that what they had could crumble at any moment, swept away by the tide of uncertainty that surrounded them. Their connection seemed to have a precarious lightness, easily overwhelmed by the waves of their own insecurities and the challenges they faced.

Percy realized he was missing an opportunity to understand what was really going on between them. The frustration of not having enough time to explore and deepen this bond made him restless. It was like trying to grasp something that was slipping through the cracks of his fingers, a feeling that, despite something real and valuable between them, there was a fragility that could be destroyed at any moment.

Voice of Sacrifice : I just think that maybe that's what love feels like, Percy. After all, it's like you two are coming together in some way, but at the same time, you're still in the process of building a relationship.

Voice of the Conquered : I think Percy is reflecting on how this seems to be meant to be. It's really strange how whenever Annabeth comes near, it feels like she's there with us, somehow. She has something that draws us to her, just like so many others, but hers is different.

"It's like the Conquered One said," Percy began, his voice soft as he picked up his surfboard and lay down on it, floating in the calm water. The sea seemed calm, but there was something about the way he reacted, as if he were in tune with her emotions. "I feel a deep attraction to Annabeth, maybe even more than I imagined. Looking back on everything that's happened between us, I realize that our connection is strange, but it also feels like something that should be happening."

Percy looked at the horizon, letting the sea envelop his thoughts. _But let's not think about that now. I want to get everything I'm feeling out.

Voice of the Conquered : I AGREE! Let's catch some waves and forget all this nonsense!

Voice of Sacrifice : Hihihi, I believe that forgetting is not what we need right now, Percy. Think about everything we've been through and start surfing!

Percy stared out at the calm sea, pondering the inner turmoil he was trying to process. He needed to release the tension of the war, the pressure he constantly felt. As his thoughts wandered through these dark memories, the sea began to respond, as if absorbing and reflecting his emotions.

The sea was calm at first, with only the soft sound of waves crashing in the distance. However, as Percy concentrated, he felt the water begin to stir. Small ripples began to form, barely noticeable at first, as if they were organizing and preparing for something larger.
