On that sunny day, Tyson, a shy and clumsy-looking Cyclops, stood under a tree on the side of a busy street, his heart filled with faith and hope as he whispered a prayer to Poseidon, his father. He had been through many hardships, and his prayers were always simple: to find a home where he would be accepted, where someone would look beyond his appearance. He never imagined that he would be found not by a god, but by a family.

As Tyson prayed, he heard light footsteps approaching. When he opened his one eye, he saw a young boy in a blue hoodie, unassuming but with a welcoming smile. It was Percy, who was only seven years old at the time, but already exuded genuine kindness and curiosity. Without hesitation, Percy reached out to Tyson.

— Hi, are you okay?_ Percy asked with the naturalness of someone who didn't see a cyclops, but rather another being in need.

Tyson looked at the outstretched hand and hesitantly took it. The simple touch was warm and comforting, unlike any interaction he had ever experienced.

Percy took Tyson to his mother, Sally Jackson, a woman with a huge heart who always took in those in need. When she saw Tyson, Sally didn't back away or get scared. She knelt in front of him, looking at him tenderly, and said:

— Are you hungry, honey? Why don't you come to our house? We have food and a warm place.

Tyson, speechless, just nodded. He felt something he had never felt before: safety.

Over the next few months, Sally and Percy did everything they could to officially adopt Tyson. Although they already considered him part of their family, the adoption process was long and full of bureaucratic challenges. However, neither Percy nor Sally gave up. They knew that Tyson needed more than a roof over his head; he needed a place where he would be loved, where he could call home.

Finally, after two years of waiting and persistence, the phone rang one quiet morning. Sally answered, and when she heard the confirmation that Tyson could finally be adopted, tears streamed down her face. She quickly called Percy and Tyson into the living room. Tyson, confused, watched as Percy smiled and said,

— Tyson, you are officially part of our family now. Tyson Jackson.

Tyson, his eyes wide and his heart pounding, fell to his knees, hugging Sally and Percy. He had already felt their love, but now he had something more: a name, a family, and a home that would be his forever.

And then what they feared most happened, Percy's great mission was about to begin, and everyone knew how important the moment was. Tyson felt the weight of something different in the air. Percy was agitated, more serious than usual, while Sally made calls and organized things with concern evident in her eyes. But there was an unspoken tension between them, especially when it came to Tyson.

Percy looked at Tyson with a mixture of affection and responsibility. He knew how strong and protective his half-brother was, but Camp Half-Blood was not a place known for welcoming Cyclopes with open arms. Besides, Percy was preparing himself to face dangers that he himself could not foresee. As much as he wanted to have Tyson by his side, he knew that leaving him at the cabin would be safer, at least for now.

"Tyson, I need you to stay here," Percy said in a firm voice, but with a glint of concern in his eyes. "I promise I'll be back soon."

Tyson, though disappointed, nodded. He had always trusted Percy, and even though he wanted to go with him, he didn't want to be a burden. He knew how important this mission was to his younger brother. However, it was hard to deal with the fact that Camp Half-Blood wouldn't see him the way Percy did, as a brother, and not as a threat.

Sally walked over and hugged him tightly.

— Giovanna is coming. She will stay with you while I take Percy to camp. Don't worry, dear. We will return home.
