On a quiet night in the hospital, Percy sat beside his mother's bed, his eyes fixed on her as her heart beat anxiously. Will Solace stood beside her, checking her vitals and adjusting the monitor with the calmness of someone who had seen it all. Percy was grateful for Will. They had grown very close since his mother had fallen into a coma, and considering Percy was always getting injured in battle, visits to Will were almost constant. There was something comforting about having someone so stable around.

While Percy worried about his mother, Will watched him from afar, without saying much, but attentive to the small changes around him. And it didn't take long for him to notice something that Percy tried to ignore: the growing closeness between Percy and Luke. Luke, with his charming manner and confident aura, didn't hide his attraction to Percy. It was almost obvious to anyone who wanted to see, and Percy, as embarrassed as he was, began to realize that he was also being attracted to Luke in a way that he couldn't explain.

Will noticed it first, before anyone else. He saw how Luke found ways to always be around, how his glances at Percy lingered a little longer than usual. And for some reason he couldn't understand, Will began to feel a pang of jealousy. It wasn't just that Luke was getting closer to Percy. Maybe what really bothered him was the fact that he himself had begun to like the way Percy cared about his mother, how he was always attentive and caring, something that Will found genuinely cute.

Deep down, Will kept the attraction between Percy and Luke a secret. He wouldn't say anything, because he knew it was none of his business. But as Percy continued to care for his mother with the determination that was part of his nature, Will felt his own heart tighten. There was something else at play here, something he wasn't ready to admit, but that made him uneasy every time he saw Percy get close to Luke.

However, as the stars shone brightly in the sky, they were not as alone as they thought. Outside, Will Solace was walking past, heading back to the infirmary, when he saw the kiss. He stopped, his heart clenching and his breath catching in his throat. The scene before him sent a wave of complex emotions crashing through him. He tried to get out of there as quickly as possible, without making a sound, his steps hurried as he struggled to contain his feelings.

Will didn't know why it hit him so hard. Maybe it was the jealousy he had felt growing ever since Luke had started getting closer to Percy, or maybe it was the silent affection he had begun to develop for Percy. What he did know, however, was that the sight had shaken him more than he was prepared to admit. He walked away silently, trying to control the whirlwind of emotions that were now struggling to escape.

Will was never the type of person to allow himself to fall in love. Apollo's children, in general, carried this fear of love, perhaps because they grew up in the shadow of their own father's tragic stories. Apollo, the god of music, healing, and light, was also known for his disastrous romances, marked by broken hearts and loves that ended in pain. This left a deep mark on Will and his siblings. Love, for them, seemed similar.

From an early age, Will had known that he was attracted to both sexes, but his fear of opening up to anyone kept him away. He had even dated once. Rosalyna, a kind and free-spirited girl, had been one of the many unclaimed children at Camp Half-Blood. After Percy Jackson's battle with the Titans, Rosalyna had finally been recognized as a daughter of Demeter. She was charismatic and full of life, always with a radiant smile and a natural connection to the world around her. Will liked her, enjoyed her company and her lightheartedness, but he could not give himself completely to her.

They dated for two years, but something always seemed missing. Rosalyna, in her patience, tried to understand what was going on with Will, but the lack of intimacy began to weigh on her. The climax came during a walk through the strawberry fields at the camp, where Rosalyna used to spend her days.
