(season 1, episode 1)

BONNIE SAT ON THE BEACH, an orange bikini pressed against her body due to the recent surfing in the ocean she had just done. She was now lying on her beach towel, small speckles of sand on her legs and beads of water on her stomach as she used the sun to dry herself. Her surf board was buried in the sand beside her.

"Lookin good, cupcake." JJ whistled toward Bonnie, immediately making her laugh as she propped herself up onto her elbows to see him.

He had just come out the ocean, his surf board under his arm as his wet hair dripped with sea water and dangled in front of his eyebrows. His toned abs were dotted with water, the same way Bonnie's were.

"Not so bad yourself, Maybank." Bonnie winks at him playfully as he smirked and made his way over to the brunette. "So, you had enough of the waves?"

"Who, me? Nah." JJ brushed off her question as he sat down beside her on the edge of her towel. Small droplets of water from his back pressed against her legs. "I'll go back in later, just needed a break."

Bonnie smiled at him as she grabbed her bag from beside her beach towel and began rummaging through it. She pulled out a packet of chips and threw them at him. "Eat."

"You're so kind." JJ teased, placing a hand on her leg for a minute before taking it off to open the packet of chips. He took one out and threw it into his mouth, directing the packet toward Bonnie as if to ask if she wanted one too.

Bonnie smiled appreciatively and dipped her hand in the bag of chips, taking a few out as she ate them. "Thank you."

She heard the familiar laughter of Sarah Cameron, her eyes going toward the blonde as she passed her and JJ on the beach with Topper. "Hey, B!" She waved toward Bonnie.

Bonnie shot her a small smile and wave, "Hey." She waited until she had drifted further down the beach before turning to JJ who had an unimpressed look on his face. "What?"

"I don't even know why you're friends with her.." JJ sighed, digging his hand further down the bag of chips.

"It's just because of my brother, JJ. I'm just being friendly." Bonnie sighed, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

She did know Sarah Cameron through her brother, however, she'd be lying if she said she didn't like the girl. Sarah was a really nice person once you got to know her and Bonnie only ever went to see her mom so she could hang out with the blonde. But, with her friends and especially with Kiara, she had to act like it was just her being nice and not act like she actually enjoyed hanging with her.

"I get that, but Kie would kill you if she saw you 'being friendly,' B." JJ said.

"I know, I know." Bonnie held her hands up in surrender, "But, I am just being nice. She's not that bad, J."
