Beyoncé sang with her eyes closed feeling passion. Every word coming from her mouth resonating with her own self.
When she finished the song silence filled the entire karaoke bar. She opened her eyes to everyone watching her.
Insecurities began to creep into her mental... had she sound that terrible?
Her overthinking stopped when applauds started to go off one after another. Everyone began cheering and clapping for her.
"Thank you." Her voice spoke into the microphone before disappearing off the stage.
"I'm so jealous of your voice." Courtney said as Beyoncé sat back down at their table.
"You sound just as good if not better than me Coco." Beyoncé said to her friend.
"Hmmm I dunno" Zendaya's face turned up.
"Girl I'd like to see you go up there." Normani pointed at Zendaya.
"I'm more a Becky G kinda girl... you know singing in the shower." Ze declined making everyone at the table laugh.
"Here you go ma'am" an employee sat a Gin and tonic in front of Beyoncé.
"I didn't order this." Beyoncé said calling the man back scared they were going to charge her for the drink.
"The woman over at the bar did." He pointed in the direction of the bar.
Beyoncé quickly glanced at the bar and spotted a familiar frame. She'd know that side profile from anywhere. Nicki was at the bar conversing with the bar tender.
She excused herself from her friends and went over to the bar with the drink in her hand. The closer she got more her nervousness took over.
As if on cue when she reached the bar Nicki's head turned both of their eyes making contact.
"If I didn't know any better I'd think you were stalking me." Beyoncé joked
"Stalking is a bit under my pay grade." Nicki jokes "but I will say it seems as if the universe keeps putting us in the same path."
