Namjoon sat in his studio, surrounded by the familiar chaos of unfinished lyrics and scattered notes. It was a creative mess, one he thrived in, but today, his mind felt unusually clouded. He picked up his pen, tapping it against the paper, but the words wouldn't flow. The sound of his phone vibrating broke the silence, pulling him from his thoughts.

He glanced at the screen, his heart dropping when he saw Y/N's name. Instantly, he felt a sense of urgency. They wouldn't message him unless something was seriously wrong. Namjoon quickly unlocked the screen and read the message:

'Are you free right now? I need to see you.'

His stomach twisted. Y/N rarely asked for help like this; it meant they were hurting. Without a moment's hesitation, he replied,

'I'm free. Where are you? I'll come to you.'

He felt a rush of adrenaline as he quickly gathered his things, throwing on a hoodie and grabbing his bicycle. As he pedaled through the streets of Seoul, his mind raced with worry. He remembered how they'd been there for each other through every heartbreak, every moment of doubt. Namjoon felt a fierce determination to be there for Y/N now, to provide the comfort and support they needed. The city whizzed by, a blur of lights and sounds, but all he could think about was Y/N's fragile state and how to help them heal.

When he finally arrived at the café where they often met, he spotted Y/N outside, their shoulders hunched as they sat on a bench. Their usually bright demeanor was replaced by a heavy sadness that twisted at Namjoon's heart. He parked his bike and approached slowly, taking a moment to gather his thoughts before saying anything.

"Hey," he said softly, taking a seat beside them. He immediately noticed the red eyes and the way Y/N's hands fidgeted nervously in their lap. "What happened?"

Y/N turned to him, their expression a mix of relief and pain. "It's Gohyun," they whispered, their voice shaking slightly. "He... he broke up with me. Just like that." They gestured vaguely toward the café, their frustration evident.

Namjoon felt a sharp pang of anger on their behalf. "I'm sorry. You don't deserve that." He placed a reassuring hand on their back, feeling the tension beneath their skin. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Y/N took a deep breath, trying to steady their voice. "I just can't believe he did it in public like it was nothing. One minute everything felt fine, and the next, it was all over. I thought we were good." Their eyes glistened with unshed tears.

Namjoon's heart ached for them. He had seen Y/N navigate relationships before, always hoping for something that would last, and now, it felt like a part of them was crumbling. "He doesn't know what he's lost," he said firmly. "You're incredible, Y/N. You deserve someone who sees that."

Y/N nodded slowly, the weight of Namjoon's words sinking in, but they still looked uncertain. "I just feel... betrayed. Like I wasn't worth a real conversation." They let out a shaky breath, and Namjoon felt the urge to pull them into a hug, to shield them from the hurt that felt all-consuming right now.

"Listen," he said, his tone gentle yet firm. "What he did doesn't define your worth. You're more than this moment. You're my best friend, and I'll always be here for you. We'll get through this together."

Y/N looked at him, their expression softening as they soaked in his reassurance. "Thank you, Namjoon. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"I'll always be your support," he replied, smiling softly. "Let's take some time to just be together. Want to ride around the city for a bit? Clear our heads?"

Y/N hesitated but then nodded, a small smile breaking through the clouds of their sadness. "That sounds nice."

Namjoon stood up, offering his hand to help Y/N to their feet. He could feel the weight begin to lift slightly, the bond between them as strong as ever. As they made their way to his bicycle, he felt a renewed sense of purpose.
