Wei Muchen POV
*This is from when Wei ying left*
I didn't want aying to leave, but still it was necessary. Somethings are meant to happen, no matter what. I won't interfere in that. I didn't like the thought of Wei ying being in same place as wenchao and others.
Meilin: you are worrying too much aming.
Xc: he is a mother bunny.
I looked at them startled. No matter how many years go, I would never get over them talking out of thin air and appearing.
"There is no thing as mother bunny, adie. It's mother hen".
Xue chonghai snickers at him and " Ahh, my boy there is indeed mother bunny how else do you think the bunnies multiply? And you are too much of bunny looking to call you hen"
I sighed at Xue Chonghai's response. "Alright, alright. I suppose there can be a mother bunny as well. But you know what I mean."

Xue Chonghai chuckled, clearly amused. "We do. You just worry too much about Wei Wuxian."

I couldn't help but agree. "I can't help it. The thought of him being in the same place as Wen Chao and the others... it doesn't sit well with me."

Meilin's voice softened, her expression a mixture of understanding and concern. "Aming, you're too protective. Wei Wuxian is stronger than you give him credit for."

I nodded begrudgingly. "I know, I know. But he's still young and inexperienced in the ways of the cultivation world. And those Wen disciples are far from being the best role models."

Xue Chonghai's playful smirk returned. "Ah, but don't forget our young bunny is also smart and resourceful. He has a way of getting out of trouble, even if he's the one causing it."

I rolled my eyes, knowing that Xue Chonghai was right. Aying's knack for both causing and escaping trouble was legendary. "I suppose you're right. But that doesn't stop me from worrying. Its gusu he is staying the rules there and that Lan qiren. You do know how I was treated back then, right? "
Meilin sighed knowing whatever they say now won't ease his worries. "Aming, yes things are going to be different but aying has that tassle if any danger were to come to him. We would know immediately. Right now we have to plan for the future"

Wei ming looked away"aniang, would you... Would you both be angry if I say that we should not participate in war? "
Meilin and xue chonghai was shocked, this was new. Wei ming was always upfront to fight for justice. They suddenly felt worried. Meilin cupped his face. "What's wrong, bubba? "
Wei ming sighed and nuzzled into the cold hands of her"aniang, I.. I'm scared. "
Meilin and xue chonghai exchanges a look "why, aming".he felt ashamed " I'm scared of losing this family. Aniang, adie I'm tired of that war. What if the history repeats, what if this aying dies instead of yanli Or aqing? Aning.. They are wens, if the others knows of this.. And yao ge what if he suddenly wants to be known by that jin bastard. What if-" Xue chonghai and meilin could tell that if they let him he would ramble for hours. But they could understand his worries. They both hug him tightly xue chonghai scoffs "brat, as if we would let that happen. If you don't want to participate in the war, so be it. We will put a wards around our yiling and stay away from war. Now stop rambling,my ears hurt"

W

ei ming pouts and mumbles"you are dead, hmmp" But he felt warm, happy that he had people who accepted what he wanted. He spent the day in his room with them cuddling.

Wei ming POV
The next day, I received a letter from aying. I couldn't help but smile as I read the letter. It was refreshing to hear my aying sounding so happy and vibrant. The descriptions of Gusu and the sparkle-eyed boy were vivid, painting a clear picture in my mind. I immediately knew that it was about lan zhan. The part about him climbing over the walls didn't surprise me one bit.

"Ah, A-Ying," I murmured, shaking my head fondly. "Always up to something."

A pang of homesickness hit me as I read his last line. I missed him too.

The thought of my aying being so far away, in an entirely different place than me, was a bit unsettling. Gusu, with its strict rules and disciplined lifestyle, was a stark contrast to the lively and chaotic Yiling.

I could only hope that he was doing well, making friends. I chuckled at the thought. Knowing A-Ying, he was probably already causing quite a bit of chaos in Gusu.

I folded the letter and placed it on the table, determined to write back to him tomorrow. I wanted to hear more about his adventures and reassure him that we were all okay back in Yiling.

With a sigh, I got up from the table and headed towards the training grounds. There was no use sitting around and worrying.
As days passed I  could sense that aying letters became calculated which meant something bad was happening. Concern started to grow in me as I read A-Ying's letters. They felt carefully written, like he was holding back something. The light and cheerful tone from the first letter was replaced by a sense of caution.

*What was happening in Gusu? Was he actually having fun, or was he hiding something from me?*

I couldn't shake the uneasiness that settled in my gut. Something didn't feel right. Each letter that came seemed to be more measured than the last. I could almost sense A-Ying's hesitation, his words weighing heavily between the lines. He was still trying to paint a positive picture, but the underlying tension was impossible to ignore.

I couldn't help but worry. I knew my little brother too well. He had a knack for getting into trouble, especially when he was trying to protect others.

"What are you hiding from me, A-Ying?" I murmured, staring at the latest letter.

I felt the talisman go off it was the talsiman that was connected to the gift of  aying's tassle. It could actually sense any danger and teleport me there.
