History:
Grady's parents only appear in flashbacks. When they left Grady with the babysitter they trusted, they came back home earlier than said. They found Grady locked in the closet and pressed charges on the babysitter and her boyfriend. Grady's parents had trouble with Grady ever since, as he now had cleithrophobia, and couldn't even get into a car. Eventually, they helped him through it and now he still has it, but feels calmer if he knows there's a way out.

History:
Francis is a girl recommended as a babysitter to Grady's mom when Grady was 5. She ended up being terrible though. Francis invited her boyfriend Boone. Grady says Tate reminds him of Boone. Boone told Grady they would play hide and seek, so he took Grady and then locked him in a closet. Grady was stuck in a very cramped closet. He was also short, so he couldn't reach the handle. When he tried, his arm got stuck up, reaching for the knob. He yelled for them to let him out but they both just laughed. Francis and Boone fell asleep on the couch and Grady's parents came in earlier than they said. They woke them up and told them to tell them where Grady was. After they saw what they'd done, they pressed charges on them. Grady at the time didn't know what that meant but he just wanted them to suffer.
