After the moment we had earlier the tension was eased between us. He helped me cook dinner before Boone and Lilly came back home.
"We're home!" Lilly shouted as she walked into the kitchen. I smiled and Tyler yelled back. I was hoping there would be a tornado soon so I could go.
My hopes were fulfilled as my phone buzzed about the graph. "We've got a good storm southwest of us" Tyler mentions.
I perk up and stare intensely at the end of the table. "We gonna go for it?" Lilly asks. "Why not, we finished eating so we'll go get ice cream after" Boone suggests.
I hang my head low knowing Tyler won't let me come with. As Boone and Lilly went towards the door I start to clean the kitchen. Tyler put his hand on my shoulder and moved his mouth to my ear.
"Get your coat, your coming with" he whispered. I smiled as I cheered in excitement. I immediately run towards the coat rack and throw my coat over my shoulders.
I'm jolting with excitement as we start to drive. Tyler smiled at me and continued driving.
"You seem excited" Tyler mentions, I laugh.
"I am, I need this" I reply. My senses led us right where we needed to be. "You always amaze me with that" Boone mentions.
I smiled and continued until we were right near it. "Drive into it Tyler!" I beg almost standing up out of my seat from the excitement. "I'm gonna need you too harness up for that baby" he replies.
I scoff and put my harness on. I can hardly contain myself as we drive into it. My laughter and screams of excitement had everyone thinking I was on something.
"Can I press the button? Please Tyler" I plea, he nods and I press it sending the rockets into the funnel.
My legs shook up and down from excitement as I watched.
Tyler's pov
Watching Hailey get that excited over a tornado had me regretting not letting her come sooner. As the storm passed our truck Haileys excitement faded into a smile.
I found her excitement cute so I smiled too. After a couple minutes we decided to take Boone up on his ice cream offer.
We sat outside of the shop on the bench and ate happily watching the sunset in the distance. "Man I love Oklahoma" Hailey mumbled.
"I do too" I reply. The silent agreements came from everyone else. Javi drove towards us and parked the storm par car. Hailey gripped my hand nervously and I rubbed my thumb over it gently.
"Hey, don't be nervous, he's not gonna do anything" I assure. Haileys eyes wandered and her leg bounced up and down at the sight of Javi.
"Can we go?" She whispered. "Of course, cmon" I agree we all hop in the truck and head back home.
