"Father, please you have to listen to me." Eleanor begged as she tried to keep up with king Alaric's footsteps. However, it seemed his majesty couldn't have been more unwilling to hear what his daughter had to say.

"Eleanor I grow tired of having to repeat myself. No, I will not allow you to go outside the castle." He marched hastily into his chambers where he was met by a few man servants who began helping him out of his tunic. Eleanor stepped in between two servants so she could face her father.

"You don't understand, this time is different, there's a reason I have to go." Just then, one of the castle's help peered into the kings chambers and said.

"Your majesty, you must know that the lords await you in the meeting room." The king wore on a red overcoat.

"I'll be there momentarily Fredrick." Alaric replied, putting on his crown. "Eleanor now is not the time." He said shortly to his daughter before leaving the chambers. Eleanor balled her hands into fists and seethed. It was frustrating not being able to explain the urgency of this situation without having to explain how she had woken up as a peasant girl a day before. She ran after her father hoping he could at least listen one more time before entering the meeting room.

"Father, father please this is an emergency." Eleanor cried as she followed her father through a corridor. Alaric stopped in his tracks and turned to face her. He wore an expression that showed he'd had enough of this conversation.

"What's gotten into you today?" he spat, "There is but one rule you have to follow at all costs in this castle and one morning you insist on breaking it?" The king closed his eyes and took a deep breath in, once he had regained his composure, he knelt on one knee so his eye met with Eleanor's. "Is this about your mother." he said with a much calmer tone. "Eleanor I am sorry if I haven't been around for you of late, but I promise I will make time." Eleanor felt her heart ache for her father, not because he'd been frustrated by her, but because she had somehow made him feel as though he hadn't done enough for her. All she wanted now was to ease his mind and let him focus on his duties, but it wasn't just her life that was about to be in danger in a few hours, Oliver, and potentially all the people who lived around the market square were about to be in danger.

"Father I know you try, but this is different,..." Eleanor noticed her father sigh but she went on, "It's not just about me, my friend,----"

"Friend." Alaric said, his eyes shot wide. Eleanor immediately regretted her words as she noticed he father's nostrils flare with rage. "You have gone outside the castle haven't you?"

"N-no father it's not how you think." Alaric immediately got to his feet.

"Fredrick," he said to the royal help. "Escort Eleanor to her room and see to it that she stays there." without a moments pause the king turned around and headed for the meeting room.

"stupid." Eleanor groaned under her breath. She followed Fredrick knowing it was futile trying to convince her father anymore.

Fredrick opened the door to Eleanor's chambers with one hand while gesturing for towards her with the other. "Here we are." he said with his usually mild tone.

"Thank you Fredrick." Eleanor walked into her chambers.

"Don't you worry princess, your father would still come around, Just give him time." Eleanor smiled at Fredrick as a subtle gesture before he closed the door to her room. She threw herself onto her bed and groaned heavily thinking of Fredrick's words to her.

"Give him time you say." but time was the one thing she didn't have. She had spent quite some time trying to find her father in the castle and even more in her attempt to convince him to let her out of it. She reckoned by now, Oliver and herself as Amice would be setting the traps for the so-called giants.
