Eight thousand years ago there was a kingdom of XianLe, an ancient country within the central plains. An ancient country that had abundant resources and content citizens. A thriving country who had everything they could ask for: Music, literature, Riches, and delicate beauties, but no one could compare to the rare beauty that was the royal highness the crown princess, Xie Meihui. The apple of the emperor's and Queen's eyes. Still even so with what came from being royalty: richest, power, respect, honor she could care less about. Stating that what really matters are the people which in her words, words that she would even often say to herself: "I want to save the common people." A strange girl, one might say. Nonetheless her people loved her. Their people were sure that their country would continue to thrive when their Royal highnesses the crown princess ascended into godhood at such a young age. Thus doting and devoting their time and faith on her. Yet three years later a war on the mortal realm broke out, humans being their own destruction. A fight for Justice and freedom from cruel governing. Much to their dismay the heavenly gods could not meddle in human affairs, unless they were dealing with demons or ghosts. This is their fight not theirs.

The Heavenly emperor Jun Wu tried to warn her, "Heed my words meddling with human affairs will only continue to set fire ablaze."

Yet she cared not, "I want to save the common people." Being her only words before descending.

Naturally the people of XianLe celebrated but their celebration would soon come to an end. It's not like she didn't try her best but it was best if she didn't, because the more she did the more complicated it became, bringing her people down. Blood shed, blood shared. Things got even more complicated when rumors spread that their precious Highness the crown princess made a deal with a notorious demon. Blaming the plague on her that swept throughout the imperial City, losing the war. Knowing that she will never gain her people's trust again, she went to the one who caused her misfortune, putting an end to their calamity, locking them in the depths of the mountain for eternity.

But those are just legends. Legends will always be legends.

Xie Lian, a young eighteen year old soon to be nineteen, has been treated like a prince since birth. Whatever he asked it was given, whatever he wished he would get, with just a snap of his fingers it would be at the palm of his hands. A little prince who is loved by both his parents. A prince who never had to lift a finger in his life — a spoiled little brat that's what he is, some may say. Though it was not that he was lazy nor bratty, but everytime Xie Lian tried to help it would almost always end up in a catastrophe: pans going up in flames, pot breaking from the bottom, to making the most poisonous foods—unintentionally, to a swarm of flies invading a freshly new set of fruits, and animals running loose, and the list goes on. Giving merchants a run for their money. So it was no surprise why he never had to lift a finger...

To be fair it was quite entertaining watching such turmoil happen before their eyes — that's if it didn't involve them. Thus every time he would come down from his small village to run errands the villagers would tense and pray to the gods that he wouldn't glance their way and if he did they would turn a deaf ear to his request for aid, or they would simply distract him by giving him old scraps. Since the boy was known to collect old or ancient stuff. Some even confused him for being a beggar. Especially the look of horror when they found out that he was studying to become a doctor. The point is they would rather die than receive any help from that walking omen. Nonetheless, the kid was kind at heart that it almost made them feel bad. It's not his fault he was born with such bad luck.
