A week had passed, but the tension between Yoongi and Jin had only grown thicker, like an unspoken storm brewing beneath the surface. Y/N hadn't seen Jin since that night at the hotel. She'd exchanged a few texts with him, but she had kept things casual, unsure of how to navigate the shifting dynamics between them. Yoongi, on the other hand, had been making an effort. He called more often, sent sweet messages, and even offered to spend time with her. But something still felt off, and Y/N couldn't shake the nagging feeling that her heart was torn.

That morning, she sat in her small hotel room, staring blankly at her phone. She had promised Yoongi that they'd meet up later to talk, but her mind kept drifting to Jin. She hadn't meant for things to get complicated, but it was impossible to ignore how she felt whenever she was around him. The flutter in her chest, the ease in their conversations, the way he always seemed to know when she needed him—it all lingered in her thoughts.

A sudden knock on the door startled her. She stood up, her heart racing slightly, and opened the door.

There stood Jin, his expression serious, almost grim. Y/N's heart skipped a beat, sensing that something had shifted.

"We need to talk," he said, his voice firm but not unkind.

Y/N stepped aside, letting him in. She closed the door behind him, unsure of what to say. Jin crossed the room in a few strides and turned to face her, his eyes searching hers.

"Yoongi," he began, "we had a conversation."

Y/N's stomach dropped. "What happened?"

Jin rubbed the back of his neck, his frustration clear. "He came to me earlier this week. He knows something's going on between us."

Y/N felt her breath catch in her throat. She had been trying so hard to keep things from spiraling out of control, but it seemed like everything was crashing down at once.

"What did he say?" she asked softly.

Jin sighed, his eyes darkening with anger. "He accused me of... well, you know what. He thinks I've been trying to steal you away. I told him the truth—that I've fallen for you, and that I can't just walk away."

Y/N's heart raced at his words. She had known Jin cared about her, but hearing him say it out loud felt different. It was real now, tangible in a way she couldn't ignore.

"Jin..." she started, but he cut her off gently.

"I'm not going to back down," he said, his voice low and intense. "I care about you too much to pretend like this doesn't mean anything. I know you're confused, and I know you have a history with Yoongi, but I'm not going to just step aside because of that."

Y/N swallowed hard, her emotions swirling. She had never expected Jin to be so bold, but his determination was both comforting and terrifying. "I don't know what to do," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't want to hurt anyone."

Jin's eyes softened. He stepped closer, his hand gently resting on her arm. "You don't have to make a decision right now. But I'm not going to pretend that I don't want you. I've spent too long hiding how I feel, and I'm done with that."

Y/N's heart ached at his words. She wanted to say something, to tell him how much she cared about him too, but before she could speak, her phone buzzed on the nightstand.

Yoongi.

The reminder of him brought a wave of guilt crashing over her. She stepped back, putting space between her and Jin, her mind spinning. "I... I need to see Yoongi."

Jin nodded, though the disappointment in his eyes was hard to miss. "I understand," he said quietly. "But remember what I said, Y/N. I'm not going anywhere."

With that, he turned and left the room, leaving her standing there, torn between the two men who held pieces of her heart.

Yoongi paced his office, his mind a whirlwind of frustration and disbelief. He had seen Jin earlier that week, and the confrontation had been worse than he imagined. Jin had looked him in the eye and admitted that he had feelings for Y/N. Yoongi's blood had boiled at the thought of someone else wanting what was his.

He wasn't ready to give her up—not now, not ever. They had been through too much together for things to end like this. Sure, he had been distant lately, wrapped up in work and his own problems, but that didn't mean he didn't love her. He just needed to fix things, to prove to her that they could still make this work.

But Jin's words had shaken him. The idea of Y/N being close to someone else, especially Jin, made his chest tighten with jealousy.

He picked up his phone and sent a quick text to Y/N, asking to meet. He couldn't let this drag on any longer. He had to make things right.

Later that evening, Y/N met Yoongi at the park near their old apartment. He was sitting on a bench, staring at the ground when she approached. When he looked up, there was a sadness in his eyes that made her heart ache.

"I've been thinking," Yoongi started, his voice soft but determined. "I know I haven't been the best lately. I've been distant, focused on work, and I've let you down. But I don't want this to end, Y/N. I want to fix things."

Y/N's breath caught in her throat. She had waited so long to hear him say those words, but now that they were finally here, they didn't bring the relief she had expected. Instead, they only filled her with more doubt.

"I don't know, Yoongi," she said quietly, her hands trembling slightly. "We've been trying for so long, and it feels like we keep drifting further apart."

Yoongi reached out, taking her hands in his. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I was wrong to push you away. But I want to make this right. I'll do whatever it takes."

Tears stung at the corners of her eyes. This was what she had wanted, right? For Yoongi to fight for them, for him to realize what he had before it was too late. But now, with Jin in the picture, everything felt so much more complicated.

She pulled her hands away, wrapping her arms around herself protectively. "It's not just about what you want, Yoongi. I'm not sure if I want this anymore."

Yoongi's face fell, but there was a flicker of disbelief in his eyes. "We've been together for four years, Y/N. You're really going to throw that away?"

Y/N bit her lip, guilt clawing at her. "I'm not throwing anything away. I'm just trying to figure out what's right for me."

Yoongi shook his head, his voice low. "You're just confused because of Jin. You'll come back. You always do."

Y/N swallowed hard, unsure if she even believed that anymore. She had promised herself she wouldn't go back, but the history between them was hard to let go of. And now, with Jin in her thoughts, she didn't know where her heart truly lay.

Back at the hotel, Y/N sat on the bed, staring at her phone. Jin's words from earlier echoed in her mind—his vow that he wasn't going to back down. She opened a new message, her fingers hovering over the keyboard as she thought of him.

Y/N: I saw Yoongi. He wants to make things work.

It didn't take long for Jin to respond.

Jin: And what do you want?

Y/N stared at the message, her heart racing. What did she want? The truth was, she didn't know anymore. What she did know was that she couldn't stop thinking about Jin.
