Raven's Perspective
When I awaken, I find myself in an unfamiliar bed. The sunlight filters through the curtains, casting a golden glow over the room. For a moment, confusion grips me until the events of the previous night come rushing back. The panic attack, Cassian's calming presence—all of it becomes clear again.
On the nightstand lies a carefully folded letter. With slightly trembling hands, I slowly open it.

Dear Raven,
I hope you slept well. I’m at training and will be busy all day. Cassian will take care of you and show you everything you need to know. If you have any questions or need anything, don’t hesitate to ask him. When you wake up, just come down to the kitchen.
P.S. Check out the new adventure here!
Best wishes,
Althea

A relieved smile crosses my face. It comforts me to know that Althea is busy and that Cassian will look after me.
Quickly, I slip into my clothes and go downstairs barefoot. The steps feel cool under my feet, and I carefully place each foot to avoid stumbling. I finally reach the kitchen. As I peek around the corner, I see Cassian standing at the stove, apparently preparing breakfast. The aroma of fried bacon and freshly baked bread fills the room, and when he sees me, he smiles warmly.
“Good morning, Raven,” Cassian’s voice is soft and breaks the morning silence. “How are you feeling today?”
“Good morning,” I reply quietly, sitting hesitantly at the table. “I’m feeling better, thank you. I hope I didn’t cause too much trouble.”
“Not at all,” Cassian says with a smile as he places a plate of breakfast in front of me. “It was just a little crisis. I’m glad you’re feeling better.”
During breakfast, Cassian makes an effort to keep the conversation light. Still, I notice that he seems to have something on his mind. After we finish eating and Cassian cleans up the kitchen, his expression grows serious. “Raven, there’s something we need to discuss,” he says, his voice sounding earnest.
“What’s wrong?” I ask, my heart quickening with nervousness.
Cassian takes my hand and gently leads me to a large mirror on the wall. “It’s about what happened last night. I need to show you something,” he explains calmly, carefully pushing my hair aside to reveal my neck.
As Cassian gently moves my hair away, I feel a tingling sensation on my skin that makes me shiver. The mirror reveals a faint mark on my neck, glowing a deep red. My heart starts to pound, and my thoughts swirl in a whirlpool of confusion and concern. “What does this mean?” I ask, my voice trembling with inner uncertainty.
Cassian pulls down his shirt slightly, revealing a similar mark on his chest. “This is the mark that shows we are mates,” he explains gently.
“But how can that be?” I ask, my voice quivering with confusion. “I’m wolf-less. How can I be your mate?”
“This mark signifies more than just the physical strength of a wolf,” Cassian says softly, looking into my eyes. “It represents a deeper connection between us—one that isn’t affected by your wolf-less state. This bond comes from a deeper, mystical level that intertwines our souls and destinies—one sealed by ancient powers and fate itself.”
